Florida Lottery, Bucs Sending Fans to the Draft

Posted Feb 25, 2013

Starting Monday, a Florida Lottery FANTASY 5® ticket of $5 more could also be a football fan's ticket to this year's draft in New York, and to other valuable Buccaneer-related prizes

The Florida Lottery and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced on Monday a partnership to offer Lottery players a chance to win great prizes in the FANTASY 5® Football Draft Day Experience Promotion. Beginning Monday and continuing through Wednesday, April 3, players who purchase a Fantasy 5® ticket of $5 or more will receive a voucher that contains a unique number to be entered on the Florida Lottery’s website for a chance to win a trip to New York to attend the first day of the 2013 professional football draft on April 25, 2013.  Additional winners will receive Buccaneers 2013 season tickets and other prizes.

"The Lottery is pleased to partner once again with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for this special promotion,” said Florida Lottery Secretary Cynthia O’Connell. “The exclusive prizes being offered are sure to give Lottery players and Buccaneer fans something to cheer about."

Two drawings will be held – the first on March 15 and the second on April 5 – from vouchers submitted during the entry period for each drawing. In each drawing, one Lottery player will win a trip for two to New York to attend the first day of the 2013 professional football draft at Radio City Music Hall, including airfare, hotel accommodations, two Buccaneer hats, two jerseys and $1,000.  In addition, five winners will receive a pair of 2013 season tickets each; 10 will receive two VIP credentials each to the Buccaneers Draft Day Watch Party in Tampa on April 25, 2013; 10 will receive a pair of single-game tickets each to a 2013 Buccaneers regular-season home game; and 20 will receive Buccaneer apparel. Additional information about the promotion is available on the Florida Lottery website.

“The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are proud partners with the Florida Lottery and we’re excited to build upon that relationship with this new promotion,” said Buccaneers Co-Chairman Bryan Glazer. “Draft Day is one of the most anticipated days of the year for football fans, and the Bucs are eager to give fans an opportunity to experience the action in person at Radio City Music Hall, along with the many other exciting prizes being offered in cooperation with the Lottery.”
