Tampa Bay fans can now immerse themselves fully in the gameday experience at Raymond James Stadium without ever unplugging from their own networks.
For those fans who value live football and non-stop information at their fingertips, free stadium-wide Wi-Fi is perhaps the most enticing of the many gameday enhancements the Buccaneers will be unveiling on Sunday when they open the 2012 season against Carolina. It is, however, just the beginning of the team’s efforts to make a trip to Raymond James Stadium the most immersive and entertaining way to watch a Buccaneers game.
“Free stadium Wi-Fi, top-of-the-line game production, a new replay system, and bolstered customer service are just some of the improvements Bucs fans will now see at Raymond James Stadium. We’re leaving no stone unturned in our efforts to maximize home-field advantage and make Sundays memorable for our fans,” said Brian Ford, the Buccaneers’ vice president of business administration.
No fees or passwords are required to access the stadium Wi-Fi on game days, so fans in attendance can access scores from around the league, watch their fantasy matchups develop and gather information about the action taking place on the field in front of them. The best way to do this, of course, is through the Buccaneers’ Official Mobile App, a tablet and smartphone application that is offered for Apple, Android, Blackberry and Windows devices. The Buccaneers App features stats, rosters, news updates and much more…and on game day, those in the stadium will be able to unlock special features associated with the stadium experience.
Speaking of that experience, the Buccaneers have partnered with the experts in producing unforgettable football environments, hiring the group that has produced the past 18 Super Bowls. In addition, the team has heeded the fans’ calls for more and better replays, installing a brand-new system that includes several new cameras to provide more angles for improved replays. Also new this season, fans will have the chance to go Under the Hood, as the stadium BucVision boards will display the same replays that the field officials view on sideline monitors. These advancements will ensure that fans in the stands receive the best quality gameday atmosphere.
The new gameday experience will begin far before kickoff. Fans around the stadium prior to the game will be able to experience a special “Bucsparilla” pregame celebration, with the team’s Gasparilla float parading through parking lots and tailgate areas around the stadium, distributing Buccaneers beads and other prizes to the crowd. The parade will be manned by team mascot Captain Fear and his Krewe.
The Buccaneers will augment all of these new gameday features by making customer service a top priority in 2012. Dozens of additional trained Buccaneers staff will be posted around the stadium before, during and after each game. Quads A and C will feature new Guest and Member Relations Headquarters, staffed by employees ready to aid fans with any questions or issues. For Club members, the Clubs will open an hour earlier and close an hour later than they did in 2011, and both Club entrances will also benefit from a box office ticket service concierge stationed to answer any questions.
