GCM Brings the "Mediatrician" to Tampa for Education Is Key

The event honors one outstanding student and teacher who have made an impact in their school and the Tampa Bay Community, and fundraises for GCM’s Social Responsibility Fund.


WHO:  Glazer Children’s Museum   

WHAT: The Glazer Children’s Museum welcomes Dr. Michael Rich of Harvard University, known as the Mediatrician, to discuss children’s media use and the implications of screen time on health and development at Education is Key on April 27, 2017. The topic is highly relevant during Week of the Young Child, a national initiative celebrating early childhood education from April 24-28.  The event honors one outstanding student and teacher from the Tampa Bay Community, who will each be presented with an award during the program. Education Is Key serves as a fundraiser for the Museum’s Social Responsibility Fund. Please join us for this event to share this fantastic story with the Tampa Bay Community!

KEYNOTE SPEAKER BIO: Michael Rich, MD, MPH, is Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, Associate Professor of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the Harvard School of Public Health, and practices Adolescent Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. He is the Founder and Director of the Center on Media and Child Health as well as a pediatrician, researcher, father, and media aficionado.
