Help Sack Hunger in the Bay Area on Sunday

Posted Nov 14, 2013

Fans can help the Glazer Family Foundation, Raymond James Financial, Campbell's Chunky Soup and UnitedHealthcare make the annual "Sack Hunger" food drive a success this Sunday at Raymond James Stadium

On Sunday, November 17, when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Atlanta Falcons at Raymond James Stadium, fans have the opportunity to help the Glazer Family Foundation, Raymond James Financial, Campbell's Chunky Soup, and UnitedHealthCare support local food banks at the annual "Sack Hunger" Collection Drive. Volunteers from Feeding America Tampa Bay, Metropolitan Ministries and Raymond James Financial will accept donations at the yellow collection tents stationed along the front of the Raymond James Stadium parking lots approaching each gate and club entrance until the end of the first quarter. All fans who donate an item at Sunday's game will be entered into a drawing to win autographed Buccaneers memorabilia.

Food items needed include:
  • Boxed nonperishable food
  • Canned meats
  • Canned fruits and vegetables
  • Canned juices
  • Canned soups
  • Peanut butter
-- Volunteers will be accepting non-perishable food donations outside Raymond James Stadium on Sunday

Leading up to Sunday's game, Raymond James Financial employees are collecting nonperishable food items at their offices, with Campbell's Chunky Soup joining the cause by donating 5,000 cans of soup to the collection effort. In support of the "Sack Hunger" drive, UnitedHealthCare has also committed to donate 1,200 meals to Feeding America Tampa Bay for each Buccaneers sack this season. All donated items will be collected with the support of PODS, an official moving and storage provider of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
