Promotions, Additions in Bucs' Front Office

Posted Jul 16, 2013

The Bucs have added Scott Cohen, a veteran of 21 years in NFL front offices, and Steve West to G.M. Mark Dominik's staff while also elevating Shelton Quarles, Mike Greenberg, Andre Forde and Tony Hardie to new positions

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced on Tuesday the promotions of Shelton Quarles, Mike Greenberg, Andre Forde and Tony Hardie. The team also announced the hiring of Senior Personnel Advisor Scott Cohen and Scouting Assistant Steve West.

Quarles has been promoted to director of pro scouting after spending the previous three seasons working as the coordinator of pro scouting. In this role, he will oversee the Buccaneers' pro personnel staff, along with evaluation of all pro leagues, free agents and trade prospects. Quarles, who spent 10 seasons playing linebacker for the Buccaneers, originally joined the team’s front office as a pro scout in 2007, where he spent four seasons.

Greenberg has been elevated to director of football administration. Hired by Tampa Bay as a player personnel assistant in 2010, he spent the past two seasons as the coordinator of football administration. Greenberg works directly with General Manager Mark Dominik on all aspects of the salary cap, contract negotiations and strategic planning.

Cohen, who has spent 21 seasons working in the NFL, comes to the Buccaneers from the New York Jets, where he spent the past five seasons working as the team’s Assistant General Manager.  In that post, he assisted General Manager Mike Tannenbaum with the day-to-day operation of the team, focusing primarily on player personnel. He will handle evaluations and player acquisitions on both the professional and collegiate level for the Buccaneers, as well as preparing advanced reports for coaches.

Forde and Hardie will now be in charge of the northeast and mid-Atlantic regions of the United States, respectively. West will assist in player scouting as well as in organizing player workouts.
