Bucs-Bengals Inactives: All Three TEs Out

Posted Nov 30, 2014

The Bucs will face the Bengals without any of their usual three tight ends, as Brandon Myers, Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Luke Stocker are all inactive...LB Lavonte David will also miss a second game

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cincinnati Bengals named their game day inactives on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. ET, 90 minutes before kickoff of their Week 13 matchup at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. NFL teams are required to reduce their active rosters to 46 players for each regular-season game.

Tampa Bay's list is comprised almost completely of injured players, including all three tight ends who were on the roster for the first 12 weeks of the season. Brandon Myers (calf), Austin Seferian-Jenkins (back) and Luke Stocker (concussion) will sit out after suffering injuries in Chicago a week earlier, leaving the Bucs to come up with some new solutions at the tight end position. That could include two players just added to the active roster, undraftd rookie Cameron Brate and former Green Bay Packer D.J. Williams. The bad news for the Buccaneers also includes a second straight missed game for All-Pro LB Lavonte David and inactive status for starting DT Clinton McDonald, both due to hamstring injuries.

Cincinnati will play without Pro Bowl LB Vontaze Burfict for the fifth straight game due to a knee injury. The Bengals also placed starting RT Andre Smith on injured reserve this week and will give the start to Marshall Newhouse.
