Legends Day at Training Camp

Posted Aug 12, 2014

Nearly 50 former Buccaneer players have accepted invitations to attend the team's training camp practice on Tuesday, including such fan favorites as Kevin House, Dave Moore and Tony Mayberry

In a continuing effort to honor and stay connected with their past – which now stretches back nearly four decades – the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have designated Tuesday as "Legends Day" at their 2014 training camp.  Nearly 50 former Buccaneer players will attend the day's practice, which begins at 4:30 p.m. and is open to the public.

The Legends planning to attend on Tuesday cover almost that entire four-decade span, with at least one alumni representing every season from the inaugural 1976 campaign through 2010.  In fact, no fewer than eight players who experienced that first Buccaneer season will be in attendance: safety Mark Cotney, running back Jimmy DuBose, running back Harold Hart, defensive tackle Maulty Moore, defensive end Council Rudolph, wide receiver Barry Smith, offensive lineman Steve Wilson and offensive tackle Steve Young.

Other prominent former Bucs who will watch their successors prepare for the season include wide receivers Kevin House, Horace Copeland and Michael Clayton; Pro Bowl center Tony Mayberry, long-time tight end and current Buccaneers Radio Network color analyst Dave Moore; defensive ends Steve and Stylez White; and long-time linebacker stalwart David Lewis.

Below is a full list of the Buccaneer Legends who will attend Tuesday's training camp practice:
