ACQUIRED BY BUCS:

  • Selected in the second round (43rd overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Buccaneers.

COLLEGE:

  • Team captain who started 45-of-51 games at Mississippi State (2009-12), including every game in his final two seasons.
  • Recorded 221 tackles, 26 passes defensed, 11.5 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, four forced fumbles, four quarterback pressures, one fumble recovery and 16 interceptions for 320 yards and three touchdowns. Also returned 30 punts for 289 yards and one touchdown.
  • 320 interception return yards shattered the previous school record of 241 yards and rank fifth on the Southeastern Conference's all-time list.
  • Three interceptions returned for touchdowns tied a school record and are tied for the second-most in SEC history.
  • Winner of the 2012 Jim Thorpe Award (Best Defensive Back).
  • Earned first-team All-America honors from Walter Camp in 2012.
