Anthony Perkins
Assistant to the Head Coach

Biography

Anthony Perkins enters his first season with the Buccaneers, working as the assistant to the head coach.

In his role, Perkins will manage a variety of responsibilities pertaining to Head Coach Dirk Koetter, including the day-to-day operations of the Buccaneers coaching staff, collaboration with the team’s personnel department, and player evaluations, among other duties.

Prior to joining the Buccaneers this season, Perkins spent two seasons as the cornerbacks coach at Ohio University (2015-16) and was one of Tampa Bay’s Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellows during the 2016 mini-camp. Before his time with the Bobcats, Perkins spent two seasons as the secondary coach at Indiana State (2013-14).

Perkins played collegiately at the University of Colorado and began his coaching career at his alma mater, working as a technical intern for the Buffaloes during the 2012 season, while also spending time with the Denver Broncos during their training camp that season.

A native of Northglenn, Colorado, Perkins earned a bachelor’s degree in from Colorado. He and his wife Janessa have a daughter, Imani.
