Joe Vaughn
Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

Biography

Joe Vaughn enters his sixth season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2017, where he serves as assistant strength and conditioning coach.

Vaughn joined the Buccaneers prior to the 2012 season following stints working with the strength and conditioning programs at University of Kansas and the University of Oklahoma. He originally joined the staff at Kansas as a graduate assistant strength coach in 2006, following a standout two-year playing career with the Jayhawks during which time he garnered All-Big 12 Second Team honors, was named the 2003 Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year and the 2004 KU Offensive MVP.

Vaughn then worked as an assistant strength coach with the Sooners from January-June 2007 before finding his way back to Kansas in a full-time role.

A native of Del City, Oklahoma, Vaughn earned his bachelor’s degree in applied behavioral science. He is married to Rachel Vaughn.
