2009: Appeared in all nine games with seven starts (all but at Washington and vs. Green Bay) this season… Made first career start in season opener against Dallas (9/13), posting four tackles, one forced fumble and one QBP… Added one special teams tackle against the Cowboys… Notched five tackles, including one TFL, at Buffalo (9/20)… Notched a then career-high six tackles and one QBP vs. N.Y. Giants (9/27)… Did not start as defense opened up in nickel at Washington (10/4)… Posted first career sack of QB Jason Campbell and finished game against the Redskins with six tackles, one sack, one TFL, one QBP and one special teams tackle… Tallied six tackles at Philadelphia (10/11)… Recorded a career-high seven tackles and one pass defensed vs. Carolina (10/18)… Posted four tackles and two special teams stops vs. New England (10/25)… Did not start as defense opened up in nickel vs. Green Bay (11/8)… Had one QBP and one special teams tackle against the Packers… Recorded first career interception at Miami (11/15), picking off QB Chad Henne late in the fourth quarter to set up the Buccaneers go-ahead score… Finished game against the Dolphins with seven tackles, including one TFL, one interception, one pass defensed, and tied for the team lead with two special teams tackles.
 

2008: Appeared in all 16 contests on the year… Totaled two tackles on defense and a team-best and career-high 24 special teams tackles on the season… Posted two special teams tackles in season opener at New Orleans (9/7)… Saw action on defense and special teams vs. Atlanta (9/14), posting one special teams tackle… Had one special teams tackle vs. Green Bay (9/28)… Tied for the team lead with three special teams stops at Denver (10/5)… Finished game vs. Carolina (10/12) with two tackles and one special teams tackle… Tallied two special teams stops vs. Seattle (10/19)… Posted one special teams tackle at Dallas (10/26)… Had one stop on special teams at Kansas City (11/2)… Had one special teams stop at Detroit (11/23)… Recorded one special teams tackle vs. New Orleans (11/30)… Led the team with a career-high four special teams tackles at Carolina (12/8)… Had a team-leading three special teams tackles at Atlanta (12/14)… Tallied one special teams tackle vs. San Diego (12/21)… Posted two special teams tackles vs. Oakland (12/28).

2007: Played in 15 contests and inactive for one other (vs. Arizona)… Also played in one playoff contest… Finished the season with nine tackles, 17 special teams tackles, third-best on the team, and one forced fumble… Had one special teams tackle in NFL debut at Seattle (9/9)… Posted one tackle and one special teams stop vs. New Orleans (9/16)… Notched two special teams stops at Carolina (9/30) and at Indianapolis (10/7)… Totaled two special teams tackles vs. Tennessee (10/14)… Recorded one special teams stop at New Orleans (12/2) and at Houston (12/9)… Had two special teams stops vs. Atlanta (12/16)… Saw significant action on defense at San Francisco (12/23), recording three tackles and one special teams stop… Had a career-high five tackles in his most extensive playing time of the season vs. Carolina (12/30)… Added two tackles and one forced fumble on special teams against the Panthers… Made first postseason appearance in NFC Wild Card game vs. N.Y. Giants (1/6).

 

Played linebacker at New Mexico after beginning his career as a defensive end at Harper College… Wreaked havoc on the opposition’s passing game while playing the safety/linebacker hybrid Lobo position … Earned first-team all-Mountain West Conference and honorable mention All-America honors (CollegeFootballNews.com) as a senior in 2006… Including his 2003 season at Harper College, recorded 283 tackles with 18 quarterback sacks, 33 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, 11 pass deflections and four interceptions… His 138 yards on interception returns in 2006 were the most in a season by a New Mexico player since Stan Quintana totaled 172 yards in 1964… His 114 tackles in 2006 were the most by a New Mexico player in a season … Played in 36 games with 23 starts at New Mexico from 2004-06… Finished his Lobos career with 195 tackles (97 solos), 1.5 sacks, 4.5 tackles for loss and five quarterback pressures… Also forced two fumbles, deflected nine passes and gained 169 yards with two touchdowns on four interception returns (42.3 avg.)… Selected to play in the 2007 East-West Shrine Game in Houston… Graduated in December 2006, with a degree in University Studies.
 

Served as a celebrity model in the Fashion Funds the Cure show to benefit the Pediatric Cancer Foundation in February 2009… Encouraged physical activity and spoke on the importance of academics and making smart decisions to teenagers at the Jackson Heights NFL YET Center in April 2009… Ran football drills and promoted health and fitness at the NFLPA’s Gatorade Junior Training Camp at Tampa Bay Boulevard Elementary during 2009 Super Bowl week… Greeted fans and spread team spirit on the Buccaneers’ float at the Gasparilla Day Parade in February 2009… Spoke to students at Mulrennan Middle School in Tampa about the importance of physical activity and sound nutrition during a Buccaneers and American Heart Association “What Moves U” fitness rally in November 2008… Greeted children at the Lowry Park Zoo during the Buccaneers’ Halloween Celebration in October 2008... As a member of the 2007 Buccaneers Rookie Club, joined underprivileged children on a bowling outing, coached local youth at the Rookie Club Football Camp, took a trip to DisneyQuest with children from the Boys & Girls Club, carved pumpkins with kids from The Children’s Home at the Buccaneers Halloween party, visited patients at All Children’s Hospital and sang Christmas carols for residents at Westminster Palms Nursing Home in St. Petersburg…Joined other members of the Rookie Club on Memorial Day for an afternoon of bowling with children on the waiting list of Big Brothers/Big Sisters on Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties in 2007… Hosted youth from local Boys & Girls Clubs and MacDill Airforce base at the first ever Buccaneers Rookie Club Football Camp in 2007... Took a trip to DisneyQuest with children from Central Florida Boys & Girls Club as part of the Buccaneers Rookie Club in 2007… Carved pumpkins with kids who have suffered abuse, abandonment or neglect and currently reside at The Children’s Home during the Buccaneers Rookie Club’s annual Halloween party in October 2007… Visited with and sang Christmas Carols for patients at All Children’s Hospital during the rookie club’s annual visit to the hospital in 2007… Sang Christmas Carols at Westminster Palms Nursing Home in St. Petersburg with members of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Rookie Club in 2007… Earned All-Public League honors as a senior at Kenwood (Chicago, IL) High School… Added All-Conference honors as a sophomore and a junior… Recorded 224 tackles and 17 sacks in his career… Collected 89 tackles with nine sacks as a senior and produced 87 tackles and six sacks during his junior year… Three-year letterman on the basketball court, earning Third-Team All-Public League honors… Has a brother, Elliot and sister, Deatrice… Enjoys reading novels and doing volunteer work… Born Quincy Booker Black on February 28, 1984 in Chicago, Illinois.
