ORIGINALLY ENTERED NFL

  • Originally entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick (112th overall) of the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2008 NFL Draft.

 

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

  • Has played in 59 career games, with 25 starts, playing both tackle positions, while also working as an extra tight end.
  • Started only postseason appearance against San Diego (1/5/14).
  • Made first career start against Philadelphia (11/16/08).
  • Made NFL debut against Tennessee (9/14/08).

 

2013 HIGHLIGHTS

  • Played in 15 games, starting seven, appearing at both left and right tackle, as well as spending time as an extra tight end.
  • According to Stats Inc., did not allow a sack or record a holding penalty all season, while only committing one false start.
  • According to Pro Football Focus, Collins had the highest Pass Blocking Efficiency of any tackle who played at least 25 percent of team’s passing snaps, and his 12 total pressures allowed (combined sacks, hits and hurries) were the fewest of any tackle in that group.
  • Part of an offensive line that allowed the third-fewest sacks in the NFL.

  • Played 32 games at Kansas (2004-07), redshirting as a freshman in 2004 and declaring for the NFL draft before his senior season.
  • Named to multiple first-team All-America teams in 2007, helping Kansas to a 12-1 record and a victory in the FedEx Orange Bowl.
  • Attended Central High School (Beaumont, Texas), where he didn’t play football until his senior season, earning Class 4A all-state honors as a defensive end.
  • Majored in African-American studies.
  • Born Anthony Collins on November 2, 1985 in Beaumont, Texas.
