ACQUIRED BY BUCS:

  • Selected in the fifth round (143rd overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Buccaneers.

2014 HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Inactive for nine games on the season.
  • Placed on injured reserve on November 12.

COLLEGE:

  • Started 41-of-45 career games played at Tennessee State (2009-13).
  • Started all 14 games for the Tigers as a senior (2013), earning first-team FCS All-American honors from The NFL Draft Report, Sports Network, Beyond Sports Network and Heritage Sports Radio Network, while adding second-team recognition from the Associated Press.
  • A first-team All-Ohio Valley Conference, he was a member of the President’s List and was chosen as a National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete.
  • Helped lead the Tigers to their first postseason berth since 1999 and their first postseason win since 1982 with an opening round victory over Butler in the NCAA FCS playoffs.

  • Along with UnitedHealthcare employees, Buccaneers teammates and cheerleaders, delivered and installed five Learning Gardens at Potter Elementary in September 2014 to reinforce the importance of agriculture and healthy eating.
  • In September 2014, participated in a Buccaneers Academy ribbon-cutting ceremony and helped build an outdoor class at Sheehy Elementary in Tampa.
  • In June 2014, had his head shaved by children battling cancer as part of the Buccaneers Cut for a Cure to raise funds and awareness for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
  • In June 2014, visited MacDill Air Force Base to greet service members and learn about U.S. military operations headquartered in Tampa.
  • In May 2014, participated in the Buccaneers Academy Fitness Zone ribbon cutting at Graham Elementary and helped lead students through PLAY 60 football drills.
