BUCCANEERS MAKE ROSTER MOVES 9-13-21

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today promoted safety Andrew Adams from the practice squad to the active roster and signed long snapper Carson Tinker. Tampa Bay also placed cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting and long snapper Zach Triner on Injured Reserve. In addition, the Buccaneers signed safety Chris Cooper and cornerback Pierre Desir to the practice squad.

Adams (5-11, 202) spent the 2021 offseason and preseason with the Philadelphia Eagles before being signed to the Buccaneers practice squad on Sept. 2. Adams was elevated for Tampa Bay's Week 1 game vs. Dallas, recording three tackles (one for loss) and one quarterback hit. He played in all 16 regular-season games for the Buccaneers in 2020 and was a member of the team's Super Bowl LV championship roster. Adams entered the league as a college free agent with the New York Giants in 2016. He spent two seasons in New York (2016-17) prior to spending the next three in Tampa Bay (2018-20). In his career, Adams has appeared in 73 games, making 32 starts, and recording 166 tackles, 19 passes defensed, six interceptions and two forced fumbles. A native of Fayetteville, Georgia, Adams wears No. 26 for Tampa Bay.

Tinker (6-0, 237) played in 69 career games for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2013-18, recording 16 tackles. He spent the 2020 season on the New York Giants practice squad and remained with the team throughout the 2021 offseason and preseason. A Decatur, Alabama, native, Tinker played collegiately at the University of Alabama. He will wear No. 46 for Tampa Bay. The team's active roster stands at 53 players.

Cooper (5-10, 200) spent the 2021 training camp and preseason with Tampa Bay, making the team's active roster before being waived on Sept. 10. He entered the league as a college free agent with the Indianapolis Colts in 2018. He has since spent time on the practice squads of the Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs, Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos. The Stony Brook product is a native of Mount Vernon, New York. He wears No. 39 for Tampa Bay.

Desir (6-1, 192) spent the 2021 offseason and preseason with the Seattle Seahawks. The veteran cornerback has played in 73 career games, making 44 starts, and recording 259 tackles (59 for loss), 42 passes defensed, eight interceptions, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Desir has played for the Cleveland Browns (2014-15), the San Diego Chargers (2016), the Indianapolis Colts (2017-19), the New York Jets (2020) and the Baltimore Ravens (2020). A native of Haiti, Desir played collegiately at Lindenwood University (St. Charles, Missouri). He will wear No. 29 for Tampa Bay.
