BUCCANEERS RE-SIGN PAIR OF FREE AGENTS

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that the team has re-signed safety Andrew Adams and defensive lineman Rakeem Nuñez-Roches.

Adams (5-11, 202) has appeared in 27 games, including 15 starts, for the Buccaneers over the past two seasons. In that time, he has recorded 81 tackles (three for loss), 12 passes defensed, five interceptions and one forced fumble.

He originally entered the league as a college free agent with the New York Giants, playing in 30 games with New York in his first two seasons (2016-17). Through his first four years in the NFL, Adams has totaled 154 tackles (five for loss), 19 passes defensed, six interceptions and two forced fumbles. The College Park, Georgia, native played collegiately at Connecticut.

Nuñez-Roches (6-2, 307) has appeared in 19 games for Tampa Bay since originally being signed by the Buccaneers in October of 2018, notching 11 tackles (one for loss), one quarterback hit and one fumble recovery. He entered the league as a sixth-round selection (217th overall) in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs, where he played his first three NFL seasons. Nuñez-Roches has tallied 62 tackles (six for loss), five quarterback hits, 1.5 sacks and one fumble recovery over 53 career games played. A native of Dangriga, Belize, Nuñez-Roches played collegiately at Southern Mississippi.
