BUCCANEERS SIGN WR MATTHEW EATON & TE SCOTT ORNDOFF; AWARDED T WILLIAM POEHLS OFF OF WAIVERS 

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today the team has signed wide receiver Matthew Eaton and tight end Scott Orndoff, and has been awarded tackle William Poehls off of waivers.

Eaton (6-4, 211) originally entered the league as a college free agent this past offseason. He spent time with the Green Bay Packers, before being waived in May. A native of Norfolk, Virginia, Eaton played collegiately at Iowa State.

Orndoff (6-5, 255) originally entered the NFL as a college free agent in 2017 with the Pittsburgh Steelers and was a member of the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad during that season. He has also spent time with the Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars. Orndoff is a native of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania and played collegiately for four seasons at the University of Pittsburgh.

Poehls (6-8, 344) originally entered the league as a college free agent in 2014. He spent the 2019 offseason with the Indianapolis Colts before being waived. During his NFL career, he has also spent time with the Tennessee Titans, Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars. A Chandler, Arizona native, Poehls played four seasons at the University of Montana.   

The team also announced that tight end Donnie Ernsberger and tackle Riley Mayfield have been waived, and safety Orion Stewart has been waived (injured).
