Bucs, FitzMagic Getting National Attention

See what the national media has to say about the quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Buccaneers after their Week One win and going into the home opener against the defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles.

Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick's career day last Sunday has pulled back the curtain on the 2018 Buccaneers and the national media has taken notice. In an effort that earned him NFC Offensive Player of the Week Honors and FedEx NFL Air Player of the Week, FitzMagic, as he's being affectionately referred to, threw for 417 and four touchdowns while adding a rushing touchdown of his own. Members of the national media had some thoughts about Fitzpatrick and the Bucs after the win over the Saints and going into Week Two, where the Tampa Bay will take on the defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles.

“Shout-out to not only Fitzpatrick, but the entire Bucs squad saying, ‘I don’t care what you guys have been saying about the Saints all summer. We’re here to play ball.’ And not only playing ball, but they kicked their butt.” Nate Burleson, Good Morning Football
“Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson together are the truth.” Stephen A. Smith, ESPN

CBS Sports took the Bucs over the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend in Tampa Bay's home opener at Raymond James Stadium. They are predicting a close game with the Bucs edging out Philadelphia 20-17.

And even celebrity Bucs fans got in on the fun.
