Bucs-Panthers Inactives: Blaine Gabbert Only Injured Scratch

QB Blaine Gabbert will miss a second consecutive game with a left shoulder injury, making Ryan Griffin the number-two passer behind Jameis Winston once again

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Francisco 49ers named their game-day inactives on Thursday night at 6:50 p.m. ET, 90 minutes before kickoff of their nationally-broadcast game at Bank of America Stadium. NFL teams are required to reduce their active rosters to 46 players for each regular-season game.

The only player the Buccaneers had ruled out on their last injury report of the short week was Blaine Gabbert (left shoulder), which means Ryan Griffin will once again serve as the second active quarterback behind starter Jameis Winston. After safety Justin Evans was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday, there were no other injury concerns that affected the Buccaneers' inactive decisions on Thursday.

Carolina will be without LB/DE Bruce Irvin, one of their key offseason acquisitions, for a second straight week. However, tight end Greg Olsen, who has been working through a back injury, has been cleared to play.
