Head Coach Bruce Arians Media Availability - Friday, October 25, 2019

*Head Coach Bruce Arians                              *

(Opening statement)

"Out for the game [will be Alex] Cappa, [Jack] Cichy and [O.J.] Howard. Everybody else – a couple of guys will be game time decisions, but they look like they'll be ready to go. [It was a] real good week of preparation and [I'm] excited to see us play."

(On whether OLB Jason Pierre-Paul will be ready to play on Sunday)

"He flew around good today. We'll see what the doctor says this afternoon and see what happens."

(On if there is a possibility that he will be activated for Sunday's game)

"There's a possibility."

(On if TE Antony Auclair will have to step up with TE O.J. Howard out)

"Yeah, he's done a lot of the heavy work for us and done a heck of a job. So, between Cam [Brate], Antony and Tanner Hudson, we'll see what happens."

(On if WR Breshad Perriman will be ready to play)

"Yeah, Breshad's fine. He's ready to roll."

(On if players get nervous about the trade deadline)

"Yeah, I think so. It's just natural, especially if your name's out there somewhere. I always tell them, 'Just come see me – you'll get the straight and honest.' So far, nobody has come to see me, so I don't know how nervous they are – or maybe they're scared to come see me."

(On Pierre-Paul's conditioning)

"The one thing about the guy – he's always in shape. It's amazing. He's absolutely amazing."

(On if he would have any hesitation to play Pierre-Paul if he is active)

"If doc says go, we'll go. We'll see."

(On if he would try to gradually get Pierre-Paul into the game)

"Yeah – he won't get 90 snaps or anything like that. Hopefully, nobody on defense ever plays too many."

(On if the difference between 3-4 and 2-5 can dictate how the team approaches the trade deadline)

"Yeah, like I've always said as far as trades, if the price is right, the deal is real. It's got to be in our favor, and still winning – not ever sacrificing anything from winning."

(On what has led to his teams having success after the Bye Week)

"I don't know. I think each and every year is so different as far as the health [and] how tired your football team is. Like I said, I've had two physical practices those weeks, I've had practices [and] no practices, so each week is just a feel for your team and where they're at health-wise. This unusual stretch – kind of pretty much in the summer, we decided we probably weren't going to practice this week because of the trips and [it] pretty much was a good decision, I think."
