As the Tampa Bay community gears up for the holiday season, Buccaneers fans are encouraged to show their support for those less fortunate by donating nonperishable food and unwrapped toys at the "SACK HUNGER & STACK TOYS" DRIVE, presented by Raymond James. This year's collection effort, benefitting Feeding Tampa Bay and Toys for Tots, will take place on Sunday, December 9th from 9:30 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. at Raymond James Stadium before the Buccaneers take on the Indianapolis Colts. Volunteers will accept donations throughout the stadium parking lots at the large treasure chests located as you approach each stadium entrance. Fans are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys and a variety of food items, including:
• Baby food
• Boxed nonperishable food
• Canned meats
• Canned fruits and vegetables
• Canned juices
• Canned soups
• Peanut butter
• Sugar or flour
For the fifth year in a row, in conjunction with the collection drive, UnitedHealthcare has also committed to donate 1,200 meals to Feeding Tampa for each Buccaneers sack this season. In addition, the Buccaneers and Raymond James employees will also be collecting nonperishable food and toys at their offices leading up to game day.
Through the generosity and support of our employees and Buccaneers fans, the Sack Hunger & Stack Toys drive will help Feeding Tampa Bay and Toys for Tots collect items to feed and bring joy to thousands of local families this holiday season. Since the program began over 10 years ago, Sack Hunger & Stack Toys drive has collected and donated over 140 tons of food, providing more than 250,000 meals to those in the Tampa Bay community.
Thank you, Buccaneers fans, for helping to Sack Hunger & Stack Toys in Tampa Bay and for bringing smiles to the faces of children and families during the holiday season.
Remember, Toys for Toys and Feeding Tampa also accept supplies year-round to help those in need. You can help by donating to the facilities directly or hosting a drive of your own.
