The 2018 season is here and the Bucs are opening on the road in New Orleans against the division-rival Saints on Sunday, September 9 at 1 p.m.
Sunday marks the first opportunity the Bucs will have to piece together their new team in a collective effort when it counts. Between free agency and this past year's draft, there are a number of new faces on both offense and defense. The defensive line was overhauled and its rotation has remained somewhat of a mystery, even throughout the preseason. The front four will get a major test against quarterback Drew Brees and the Saints' high-powered offense.
It will also be the debut of the Bucs' receiver corps, with Mike Evans leading the way and second-year receiver Chris Godwin looking to continue the momentum he started last season – against the Saints of all teams. With quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick at the helm, the wideout group will be looking for production above all else, knowing they'll need to put up points in a hostile environment. It'll be well worth the watch, to say the least.
