The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that the team has promoted wide receiver Jeremy Butler from the practice squad to the active roster.

Butler (6-2, 213) originally entered the league in 2014 as a college free agent with the Baltimore Ravens. The Tennessee-Martin product spent the 2014 season on Injured Reserve. In 2015, the Sarasota, Florida native spent the first seven weeks of the season on the Ravens' practice squad, before being promoted to the active roster, playing in eight games, catching 31 passes for 363 yards (11.7 avg.).

Butler was signed to Tampa Bay's practice squad on September 4. He wears No. 17 for the Buccaneers.
