The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Tuesday the addition of USAA – a leading insurance provider to the military community – as an "Official Military Appreciation Sponsor" for the team.

USAA became the first-ever Official Military Appreciation Sponsor of the NFL in 2011 and, this season, joins forces with the Buccaneers to continue such activities in the Bay Area. These efforts will be highlighted at the November 11 game versus the San Diego Chargers during the NFL-wide "Salute to Service" initiative, with the fans at Raymond James Stadium participating in an event thanking members of the military.

"Tampa Bay couldn't be prouder of, or more grateful to, our military families, which is why the Buccaneers are pleased to stand alongside USAA in saluting them. USAA does so much for those who give so much to our country, and we're all looking forward to making our November 11 'Salute to Service' a very special day at Raymond James Stadium," said Buccaneers Co-Chairman Bryan Glazer.

USAA's ties to the Tampa Bay community extend beyond football. With more than 2,300 employees at its two Tampa campuses, it is also one of the largest employers in the Bay Area.

"With so many military, USAA members and employees calling the Bay Area home, we're excited about Buccaneers fans joining us throughout the season to salute current and former military members and their families," said Robert Hoyland, Vice President and General Manager of USAA 's Tampa Bay office.

USAA offers insurance and more to members of the U.S. military, veterans who have honorably served and their families. Known for its legendary commitment to its members, USAA is consistently recognized for outstanding service, employee well-being and financial strength. USAA membership is open to those who are serving or have honorably served our nation in the U.S. military, and their families.
