Buccaneers Select Quotes: Friday, October 26, 2018

Below is a selection of Tampa Bay Buccaneers quotes from today's earlier media availability. Full video of press conferences can be found on Buccaneers.com.

Head Coach Dirk Koetter

(On running back Peyton Barber practicing)

"Oh, yeah, Peyton's good to go. Yeah, he'll be fine. He's fine, he's ready to roll."

(On defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul practicing)

"Yeah, he's good to go."

(On Cincinnati running back Joe Mixon)

"Now that he's healthy, you can really see that he can do everything. He can cram it, he can cut it back, he can out-run you, he's good in the pass game. I mean, he's really a complete back. They've had injuries at running back between him and [Giovani Bernard]; they've had some injuries but Mixon is definitely somebody that's got our full attention."

(On if it's more challenging to prepare for a team that has a lot of injured players)

"No, because we're not talking about – no one's feeling sorry for us, how banged-up we are, so we sure aren't feeling sorry for anybody else being banged up. Injuries – you don't want to see players on either side get hurt, but whatever it is, it is. Both teams have things have things they've got to overcome, so we're focused on what we have to worry about. They've got their own issues and we have our own issues."

(On what he's seen of Adarius Taylor and Devante Bond in new starting positions)

"Again, as we said yesterday, you don't just replace Kwon Alexander. You do in the sense in that the next man up is expected to go in there and give his best, but that's all he can do is give his best. He's not going to be the same as Kwon. That doesn't mean they're not going to make big plays, but there's also a learning curve. Kwon's been our middle linebacker for a long time. We'll have to make some adjustments. There will be some growing pains, just like putting those new DBs in there, but again, just as with the question about Cincinnati, no one's feeling sorry for us. We're not feeling sorry for them, either."

(On if it's helpful that Lavonte David has worn the helmet with the radio before)

"Yeah, very much so, a guy whose called it. Adarius has called it before, too, in preseason, but Lavonte will be a big help in that area."

(On if Adarius Taylor is going to be a three-down linebacker)

"Well, if I told you that, I'd be telling you everything we're going to do."
