BUCCANEERS SIGN TWO MEMBERS OF THE 2024 DRAFT CLASS

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed two members of its 2024 draft class: running back Bucky Irving and guard Elijah Klein.

Irving (5-10, 195) was selected by the Buccaneers in the fourth round (No. 125 overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. He spent his collegiate career between the University of Minnesota (2021) and the University of Oregon (2022-23), appearing in 39 career games and totaling 475 carries for 2,937 yards (6.2 avg.) and 20 rushing touchdowns, while adding 95 receptions for 785 yards and five receiving touchdowns. He received second-team All-Pac-12 honors in 2023 after posting career highs in carries (186), rushing yards (1,180), rushing touchdowns (11), receptions (56) and receiving yards (413). Irving led all FBS running backs in receptions during the 2023 campaign. The Chicago native will wear No. 7 for Tampa Bay.

Klein (6-4, 319) was selected by the Buccaneers in the sixth round (No. 220 overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. He spent his collegiate career at the University of Texas-El Paso (2018-23), appearing in 56 games and playing predominantly right guard. Klein received first-team All-Conference-USA honors in 2023 after contributing to a Miners team that averaged 362.0 net yards of offense per game, including 144.3 yards per game on the ground. The Mt. Baldy, California, native will wear No. 79 for Tampa Bay.
