Named honorable mention All-Big Ten by both league coaches and media after starting all 12 at right games he played in as a sophomore (2018).
Started in seven games as a freshman (2017), becoming the first true freshman to start at either offensive tackle position in the Kirk Ferentz era.
Received honorable mention Big Ten Conference All-Freshman team designation from BTN.com, as well as the team's Next Man In award on offense.

As a senior, was named district offensive line MVP and Class 2A Iowa Preps Offensive Lineman of the Year.
Named first-team all-district for three straight seasons.
Also lettered in track and wrestling during his prep career, winning a state wrestling championship as a senior, shot put as a junior and senior and discus in his sophomore, junior and senior years.
Just the fourth Iowa male prep to win shot and discus titles in consecutive years and the first to win three straight discus titles since the 1950s.
