Twenty Questions! The 2009 Buccaneers.com NFL Draft Contest
Welcome to the annual Buccaneers.com Draft Contest!
If you've been visiting our Draft Central section since at least 2005, then you probably know the drill. Now in its fifth year, the "Twenty Questions" draft contest has annually drawn an enormous response from Buccaneers.com visitors. Our thought: Why fix what isn't broken?
So "Twenty Questions," like "Star trek," is back! We hope you once again enjoy testing out your draft knowledge as well as competing for valuable prizes, including tickets to 2009 Buccaneers home games.
If you played the contest over the last four years, then you know exactly what’s coming. If not, read on for the official rules and your chance to enter our simple to play but difficult to conquer contest. Essentially, we've created 20 questions, all dealing with what might happen during the upcoming NFL Draft and all complete with multiple-choice pulldown answer menus. You submit your predictions now and after draft weekend we match them with what actually occurred; the winner is the entrant who gets the most questions right.
So, if you wish to compete with your fellow Buccaneer fans and draftniks in a fun and easy contest featuring valuable prizes, read on! The contest rules follow and the questions are below that. You can play any time between now and the night before the draft, and you can submit up to five different entries.
Have fun!
|
| Rules |
- Using the pulldown lists, select an answer for each of the 20 questions. Once you have selected answers for all of the questions, hit the submit button to send your entry. Any question that is left unanswered will score a zero.
- Only answers in the pulldown lists may be submitted. If any of the actual answers determined during draft weekend fall outside of the parameters of the given pulldown list, each entrant will be given a 0 for that question.
- For any of the questions that refer to the Bucs’ pick in a specific round, the answer will apply to the first player drafted by the team in that round (unless otherwise stated) if there are multiple Buccaneer picks in the round.
- For any of the questions that refer to a player’s position, Buccaneers.com will determine which position the player qualifies under if he is listed with more than one position (example, a linebacker who might be drafted to play defensive end for his NFL team).
- In question 18, “Mr. Irrelevant” refers to the last player drafted.
- For question 19, each analyst's qualifying mock draft will be compared with the final results. Any pick in which the player chosen and the team doing the choosing matches, despite where the pick was made, will be considered a successful prediction. If a team has more than one pick in the first round, any successful prediction will only be counted once.
- For question 20, Buccaneers.com will determine the color of the tie.
- Each correct answer is worth one point.
- The winning entry will be the one that scores the most points. Ties will be broken by a random drawing.
- You must include a valid e-mail address in order to win. You will be contacted at this e-mail address. Any winner who does not respond to the notification e-mail within three days will be disqualified.
- Only the first five entries from each e-mail address will be accepted.
- No entries will be accepted after midnight on Friday, April 24, 2009.
- Employees of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the National Football League and their families are not eligible to win.
Prizes
Three prize packages will be awarded: Grand Prize, First Runner-Up and Second Runner-Up. Again, ties between entrants will be broken by a random drawing; if two entrants tie for the Grand Prize, the first name drawn will get the Grand Prize and the second will get the First Runner-Up Prize. The prizes are as follows:
- Grand Prize: Four (4) tickets to the Bucs regular-season game of winner’s choice
- First Runner-Up: Two (2) tickets to the Bucs regular-season game of winner’s choice
- Second Runner-Up: Buccaneers Merchandise Prize Package
