The Glazer Family Foundation Vision Program was started in 1999 as a personal passion of the Glazer Family to remove barriers to learning for all children.
Driven by the knowledge that one in four school-age children have vision problems that can affect their ability to learn if left untreated, the Glazer Family Foundation Vision Program was established to improve the lives of thousands of children struggling in school due to the lack of proper vision care. To date, the Glazers have touched the lives of 66,000 children.
Buccaneers Defensive Tackle, Gerald McCoy, is a great supporter of the Glazers Vision Clinic. As a proud wearer of eyeglasses, he understands how vision problems for underserved children are so important.
“ I always want to remind children that it’s not only okay to wear glasses, it’s a cool thing to do. The ability to see clearly can change a child’s life, just like it did for me. And the fact that the Glazer Family Foundation is providing them to these students for free, with the help of an awesome Vision Mobile like this – that’s something I’m really proud to be a part of.”
