X Marks the Spotlight: Kwon Alexander
No stranger to being involved in the community, linebacker Kwon Alexander recently launched his Kwon Alexander Foundation, aiming to provide at-risk youth with educational, mentorship and fitness resources. His kickoff event took place this past weekend at New Tampa Community Park where he held the LiTiRilla & Friends Kickball Game.
The 'friends' included fellow Buccaneers' teammates Mike Evans, Donovan Smith, Channing Ward and DaVonte Lambert. Atlanta Falcons' linebacker Deion Jones even participated, along with other NFL players, in addition to some special participants from the Heart Gallery Tampa. The Bucs, in conjunction with Florida Hospital, hosted their 'Bucs Babies' Birthday Party inside the indoor practice facility at One Buc this past Sunday. The event served as a birthday celebration complete with inflatables, Captain Fear and a birthday cake for children who have been a part of the Bucs Babies program. Darcie Glazer Kassewitz Hosts Female Executives at One Buc
During an intimate Women of RED luncheon on Friday hosted by Buccaneers Owner and President of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation and the Glazer Family Foundation Darcie Glazer Kassewitz, female leaders of the Tampa Bay community gathered to enjoy lunch at One Buc Place, while listening to some guest speakers.
Buccaneers' Chief Corporate Development & Brand Officer Atul Khosla spoke about the new strategy in which the team is embarking on. Head Coach Dirk Koetter was on hand as well, participating in a question and answer segment with team reporter Casey Phillips. The afternoon concluded with a tour of the Buccaneers' brand new indoor practice facility, which will be utilized not only for when the team needs to practice during inclement weather, but fan events and Training Camp, as well.
Schwarzkopf Military Families of the Year Honored
Every year, the Buccaneers, in conjunction with Central Florida USO, host the General H Norman Schwarzkopf Military Family of the Year Awards. Local families from each branch of the military are honored for exemplifying the values of integrity, courage, commitment and service before self while sharing in the sacrifices of service to our country.
The awards ceremony took place at One Buccaneer Place, with Darcie Glazer Kassewitz, offensive lineman Evan Smith and General Schwarzkopf's daughter, Cindy, addressing the members of the military and their families in attendance.

The Buccaneers Rookie Academy hosted a pep rally on Monday evening at One Buc where Season Pass Members got to mix and mingle with the Buccaneers 2018 rookie class. There were passed hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and photo and autograph opportunities with the newest Buccaneers players.
"I think it's really cool for me especially coming out of the Ivy League, being a smaller school guy," fifth-round draft pick Justin Watson said. "We had a good fan base, but it wasn't the biggest fan base so to have an event like this is kind of a first for me. It's cool to see the community wanting to reach out and meet the new guys and welcome us in. It really makes us feel like a part of the Tampa community."
"Being able to come to a new city, a new place with an entirely different fan base and organization, it's nice to come to a place where it does mean a lot," sixth-round pick Jack Cichy added. "You can see that in how Coach Koetter runs the team and you see it here being able to be introduced to some loyal fans and see their passion for it. It makes it a lot more special and I think that's something that is really important."
It was the first event designed to help the rookies acclimate to NFL life that included Season Pass Members as part of an ongoing effort to provide Members with the most exclusive opportunities and unprecedented access to their favorite team.
