Data Crunch: Lavonte David

Last season, Lavonte David was voted First-Team All-Pro but was not chosen to the Pro Bowl. In fact, he’s never been to the NFL’s all-star game. If David continues at the rate he’s going, he’s likely to earn more than just a Pro Bowl selection or two in his career.

Since joining the NFL, David has been a one-man wrecking ball, making plays all over the field, especially in the opponent's backfield.  Not only has he lead the league in tackles since joining the Bucs, he is on pace to join some very impressive names.

Click the tabs below to compare Lavonte to the following players:

  • The 20/20 Club - Players to collect 20 interceptions and 20 sacks over their career (including Ronde Barber)
  • NFL Top Tacklers (2012-2014) – The top 5 tacklers in the league since Lavonte's rookie year
  • Derrick Brooks – Bucs legend and 2014 inductee of both the NFL Hall of Fame and Buccaneers Ring of Honor
  • Potential Hall of Fame Linebackers – Linebackers to join the league since 1994 (when tackles became an official stat) and earn at least 4 First-Team All Pro honors.

Unofficial NFL stats: Tackles for a Loss (sacks plays defeated before the line of scrimmage; tracked since 2008), Quarterback Hits (quarterback knockdowns not resulting in a sack; tracked since 2006), Stuffs (tackles behind the line of scrimmage, not including sacks; tracked since 1991)
