Acquired by Bucs:

Selected in the fifth round (148th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Buccaneers.

 

2016 Highlights:

Inactive Games 1-8.

Started in NFL debut against Chicago (11/13).

At Kansas City (11/20), played 58 snaps at left guard, replacing an injured Ben Gottschalk and helping the team rush for 116 yards.

Saw three snaps on special teams in a win against Seattle (11/27).

In a win at San Diego (12/4), saw five snaps on special teams.

Inactive vs. New Orleans (12/11) and at Dallas (12/18).

Saw playing time at New Orleans (12/24).

Inactive against Carolina (1/1/17).

 

College:

In three seasons at UCLA (2013-15), started the final 35 games he played in, seeing time at both tackle and guard.

Declared for the NFL Draft following his junior season (2015), when he started all 13 games, with nine starts at tackle and four at guard.

Part of an offensive line that surrendered just 14 sacks, the second-lowest total in school history.

Named honorable mention All-Pac-12 as a sophomore (2014), after starting all 13 games at right tackle and helping block for Paul Perkins, who led the Pac-12 in rushing and recorded the second-highest single-season rushing total in UCLA history.

Started the final nine games of the season as a true freshman (2013), all at right tackle.

Named second-team Freshman All-American by 247Sports and was presented the John Boncheff, Jr. Award for Rookie of the Year on offense at the team banquet.

In December 2016, visited patients battling illness at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg to raise their spirits during the holidays.

In December 2016, congratulated Pizzo Elementary students and teachers for winning the Florida Dairy Council Defend Your Turf Challenge, hosting Play 60 drills and sharing the importance of a healthy diet.

In November 2016, participated in the 10th annual “Turkey Time with the O-Line,” distributing full Thanksgiving meals to hundreds of families in need.

In September 2016, visited Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa to visit with families battling cancer and run Play 60 drills for the children of patients and staff. 

In June 2016, hosted a Play 60 event for children from the Jackson Heights NFL Y.E.T. Center.
