The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today elevated offensive lineman Tyler McLellan from the practice squad for Tampa Bay's Week 3 matchup against the New York Jets. It marks his first elevation of the season.
McLellan (6-8, 355), who signed with Tampa Bay on July 24, 2025, would be making his NFL debut should he see action in the game on Sunday. He originally entered the NFL as a college free agent with the Los Angeles Chargers on April 29, 2024, but spent the 2024 season on Injured Reserve after suffering an injury during the preseason. McLellan played collegiately at Campbell University (2019–23), where he appeared in 36 career games. He earned second-team All-Big South honors in both the 2019-20 seasons, while earning first-team All-Big South recognition following the 2021 campaign in which he helped the Fighting Camels establish program records in passing yards and passing touchdowns. The North Charleston, South Carolina, native wears No. 74 for Tampa Bay.
