TJ's 3 Takeaways from TB-DET

  1. Evans Continues to Make Huge PlaysOne of the true bright spots for this season and the future of the team has been the play of rookie WR Mike Evans. At Ford Field yesterday, there he was again, putting points on the board. His third quarter acrobatic catch backing into the end zone was rightfully on every highlight show Sunday night. With yet another multi-touchdown game as a rookie, he has clearly become the premier weapon of this offense. The future is very bright for #13.

  1. Jacquies Shows Up Big Again* Once again we saw the young defensive end, who became a Buccaneer just one week into the season, make one hustle play after another. Smith's play in the third quarter looping around the left end and chasing down Matt Stafford on the sideline will be on the "hustle highlight reel" for the Bucs' 2014 season. His two sacks on Sunday move his total to six on the year and show there is definitely potential for a few more in the final three games.*
  1. Two More Young Names to Watch**
Another duo of young players who have been making plays down the stretch did so again against the Lions. Safety Bradley McDougald broke up a deep pass to Calvin Johnson in the first quarter. Linebacker Orie Lemon's number was called on multiple occasions with hard hits against runs and short passes. These are two more players to watch develop in the final three games of the season.
