RAYMOND JAMES STADIUM
Named after the diversified financial services firm headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, Raymond James Stadium opened its gates on September 20, 1998. Unveiling some of the most innovative features in the world for a sports venue, it instantly became known as “The Crown Jewel of the NFL.”
Raymond James Stadium combines stunning architectural design with fan-friendly elements designed to make the game-day experience comfortable and exciting.
Seating: Raymond James Stadium seats approximately 65,000 and can be expanded by another 10,000 to accommodate a Super Bowl crowd. Those totals include 12,000 club seats and 195 luxury suites, all with access to air-conditioned and beautifully appointed club lounges.
Club Lounges: The Club Lounges feature shops, upscale concession stands, full-service bars, luxurious couches and huge video walls displaying all the action. A gourmet buffet-style meal is available to all club members before every game. The lounges are bathed in light coming through the massive and graceful glass walls that are the most distinctive feature of the stadium’s exterior.
Concourses: Everyone in the stadium has access to two large concourses, one above each end zone, which serve as the perfect spot for socializing among fans. Situated in the North End Zone Concourse is Buccaneers Cove, a pirate extravaganza constructed by the team. The Cove features a weathered, two-story fishing village façade, out of which is dispensed a variety of game-day fare.
Buccaneers Cove: The centerpiece of Buccaneers Cove is the majestic, 103-foot-long pirate ship, an authentic replica of an early 1800s pirate vessel. One of the most instantly recognizable stadium features in the world, the ship is fully staffed during games and punctuates each Buccaneer score with a barrage of cannon fire.
Among the other crowd-pleasing features of Raymond James Stadium:
- Two massive 24’x92’ videoboards displaying replays, highlights and a variety of fresh, professionally-produced entertainment, including player interviews, fan-interactive segments and a dramatic game-kickoff animation
- 550 points of sale for concessions
- 20 escalators, including four at each corner ramp
