HEAD COACH JON GRUDEN On the offense: "I thought Brad Johnson was sharp in the first half and did some good things driving the team down the field. Rob [Johnson] came in and led us to a score, so overall we did some good things and made some plays."

On the performance of the offense: "We have done a lot of good things offensively, but we have to make the critical catch. Brad and Rob got a lot of good work in the first half."

CB TERRELL BUCKLEY On his interception: "It's always good to get that first one out of the way. What you try to do in the preseason is work and get close to the ball. Once you start getting close, everything will take care of itself. It was basically a three-step. The receiver tried to run a hitch and I just read it good."

QB BRAD JOHNSON On tonight's performance: "Tonight we had two tremendous drives coming off our goal line. We had two drives that were 70 yards and I felt like we converted on some third down calls. We made some good plays tonight."

On improvements: "I think we made so much progression, from mini-camp to training camp and then you have to make it happen during the game. It's a good start for us in preseason and hopefully we can get it to where it can be crisp with all of our motion and stay away from penalties and turnovers and then make it happen during the season."

On the offense: "I thought we did some good things tonight. We had to convert a couple times for third down conversions. I'm happy about what we did tonight, making some long drives. I'm looking forward to next week."

On getting the ball downfield: "It was nice to see us make some plays downfield. We had some great protection in there. Keenan (McCardell) and Keyshawn (Johnson) were very patient with routes and came up big for us. That's what you have to have. You have to have explosive plays over 20 yards. It really changed the field position."

QB ROB JOHNSON On his play: "I felt a lot more comfortable than the last game. I felt like we got into a better rhythm, but we should have gotten more points out of it. It was a lot better than the first game. We have to score more points and that is what we have to worry about. Last week, we ran the ball pretty well. This week, we passed pretty well so I think it is coming together."

WR KEENAN McCARDELL On friends at the game: "I have about 12 people here. I cut it down. I have a lot of friends and my wife came up for the game. I had my little girls here for the game also. It was good to get back here and it feels good to get back in front of all these fans and my friends, too."

On his pregame reception: "It made me feel great. It was unbelievable. I didn't know it would be like that. I love these fans because they gave my six years of great support. I just wanted to give them six years of great football."

On his catch: "It felt great and it was something to help the team. I just wanted to go out and do my part. I was a little anxious at first, but I settled down and made a play."

On WR Frank Murphy's touchdown: "That was great. Frank's having a great camp. He is taking it one day at a time and making plays. He's been making a play here, and a play there, and that's what we need.

WR FRANK MURPHY On his return to Jacksonville: "It feels good. Born and raised in Jacksonville, [It] feels good to come back and be able to contribute and score."

On WR play: "I'm coming along real good. I'm learning from Keenan and Keyshawn and it's going to get better. This offense is one of the best I've ever been in."

DE SIMEON RICE On his sack tonight: "It's a first of many things that's going to happen to us. Right now, I am just trying to get my rhythm together. I'm trying to get my chemistry down with this defense. Big things really look like they're about to pop for us. So, for myself, I'm getting my legs up under me and feeling good. I'm getting my swagger back real early. I'm trying to hustle and try to get more involved so I can be where I need to be when the season gets here."

On this year's defense: "In terms of last year at this time, I think the progression is a lot further, in terms of hustle."

TE Ken Dilger On the opening drive: "The first drive was big for us. We started with a penalty and were at the five-yard line. I was able to make a big catch to keep the drive going. We didn't score, but we were able to establish a good rhythm and get the offense going early."

On his 25-yard reception: "I came out of the crowd and Brad (Johnson) saw me. The ball flew off his hand and it happened so fast. It is nice to make a catch like that early and get yourself involved in the offense."
