Emmett Clifford enters his fourth season with the Buccaneers and his second as a college scout. In his current role, he is responsible for scouting the Midwest region, following one season scouting the Northeast region.
Prior to being promoted during the 2024 offseason, Clifford spent his first two seasons in Tampa Bay as a scouting assistant (2022-24). During this time, he was responsible for college and pro player evaluations, database management, as well as assisting with day-to-day operations in the personnel department.
Prior to joining the Buccaneers, Clifford spent two seasons as an external film analyst with the Cleveland Browns (2020-22).
The Glenview, Illinois native graduated from the College of the Holy Cross where he was a four-year member of the Crusaders football program (2016-19). As a quarterback at Loyola Academy (Wilmette, Illinois), Clifford led his team to a 14-0 record and the Illinois Class 8A State Championship as a senior, earning the Chicago Catholic League Most Valuable Player award in a season in which he set school records for passing yards and passing touchdowns. He currently resides in Tampa.
