BUCCANEERS ACQUIRE CORNERBACK RODARIUS WILLIAMS

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today announced that the club has acquired cornerback Rodarius (roh-DARE-ee-us) Williams off waivers from the New York Giants.

Williams (6-0, 195) originally entered the league as a sixth-round pick (201st overall) by the Giants in the 2021 NFL Draft. He has appeared in eight career games, logging 16 tackles, two passes defensed and one interception. The Shreveport, Louisiana, native played collegiately at Oklahoma State (2017-20), where he was a four-year starter and set the program record with 48 consecutive games started. At Oklahoma State, Williams amassed 169 tackles (5.5 for loss), 33 passes defensed, two interceptions and one forced fumble. Williams is the brother of former Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles cornerback, Greedy Williams.

In addition, the Buccaneers have placed wide receiver Russell Gage on Injured Reserve.
