TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS QUOTE SHEET 11-10-23

HEAD COACH TODD BOWLES

(On whose decision it was to play Phill Collins at practice)

"It's old school Friday, so all of the old heads get to pick what they want."

(On which 'old head' chose Phill Collins)

"Me."

(On if G Matt Feiler will be available to play)

"Doubtful, unless he makes a full recovery in the next two days."

(On CB Jamel Dean's injury status)

"He's still in the protocol, so he has to pass a few more tests to get ready to play Sunday."

(On if there are any other players to rule out due to injury)

"Just Josh Hayes."

(On CB Carlton Davis III)

"He got some reps today, he's getting better, [and] he'll be a game-time decision,as well."

(On who will start at corner besides CB Zyon McCollum in the event that both DB Jamel Dean and CB Carlton [Davis III] are unavailable)

"We have [Derrek] Pitts and [Keenan] Issac on standby and ready to go."

(On if he has thought about getting the players out of the sun more)

"At times, you know, we play in a dome next week or two weeks from now, so we will see then if it gets too hot, but we have to play in the sun and it's going to be like that. We need to simulate the conditions."

(On if playing in the heat is an advantage)

"You hope to have one. Obviously, the mistakes will take care of themselves, but you hope to have a heat advantage."

(On if he can speak from experience not having his best during his playing career)

"It's a good thing. It's the position. You have to have short-term memory in this business. Carlton is a great player, and we rely on him. He had a bad week, he had a bad game, we let it go, [and] we move on. He'll get back better this week if he plays.

(On how long it took for him as a player to develop short term memory needed to play defensive back)

"[When] you have a bad game or bad play, you have to bounce back. This is that type of business. This league will humble you at times, but you have to come back. He (Carlton Davis III) had a bad game against (wide receiver) Tyreek Hill a few years when Kansas City [Chiefs] played us, [and] he came back and played well, so we expect him to come back and play."
