Has appeared in three career playoff games, converting 6-of-7 (85.7%) field goal tries and 7-of-7 (100%) extra points for a total of 25 kicking points.

McLaughlin's 90.1% field goal success rate (91-of-101) as a member of the Buccaneers is the best mark in franchise history (min. 50 attempts).

Has successfully converted 43-of-51 (84.3%) attempts from 50-or-more yards, the highest success rate in NFL history among players with at least 40 attempts.

Has established a new Buccaneers single-season franchise record for field goal percentage on two occasions, most recently in 2024 when he went 30-for-32 (93.8%). Previously accomplished the feat in 2023 (93.5% — 29-of-31).

In Week 4 of the 2025 season, McLaughlin kicked a 65-yard field goal, establishing a record for the then-longest outdoor made field goal in NFL history, and tying for the second-longest made field goal ever at the time.

During the 2025 season, set an NFL record for the most consecutive made field goals from 50+ yards without a miss in a single season, with 11 such kicks.

Set a Buccaneers franchise record for consecutive regular season field goals made between 10/26/23­ —10/21/24 when he converted 30 straight field goals without a miss.

Scored 144 total points in the 2024 season (54 extra points, 30 field goals), establishing a Buccaneers single-season franchise record.

2025 HIGHLIGHTS:

In the Week 1 victory in Atlanta, McLaughlin went 1-for-2 on field goal tries, successfully converting from 48 yards out. He also went 2-for-3 on extra point attempts for a total of five kicking points.

Went 0-for-1 on field goal tries in the Week 2 win at Houston, hitting the right upright on his lone attempt of the night. Went 2-for-2 on point after tries to finish with two kicking points.x In the Week 3 win over the New York Jets, McLaughlin went 5-of-6 on field goal tries on the day, including a walk-off, game-winning 36-yard field goal as time expired. In total, he converted from 28, 33, 36, 54 and 55 yards out.

In Week 3, McLaughlin joined Martín Gramática (Dec. 29, 2002 at Chicago – Week 17) as the only players in Buccaneers franchise history to record five-or-more field goals in a single game.

Week 3 marked the second time in McLaughlin's career that he's recorded at least five field goals in a game, joining Dec. 17, 2022. It also represented his fourth career game with two makes from at least 50 yards out.

In Week 4 vs. Philadelphia, McLaughlin went 3-for-3 on field goal tries on the day, converting from 42, 58, and 65 yards out. McLaughlin's 65-yard field goal as time expired in the second quarter established a new Buccaneers franchise record for the longest made field goal, and was tied for the second-longest made field goal in NFL history. It marked the longest outdoor field goal make in NFL history.

With his performance in Week 4, McLaughlin became just the fourth player in NFL history to ever have multiple field goal makes of 58+ yards in the same game, and only the second player ever to accomplish the feat outdoors.

In the Week 5 win at Seattle, McLaughlin converted 3-of-3 field goal attempts, including the 39-yard game-winner.

Through Week 5, McLaughlin ranked second in the NFL in kicking points (47) and tied for third in made field goals (12).

In the Week 6 victory over the 49ers, McLaughlin went 1-for-2 on field goal tries, converting from 45 yards out. Also went 3-for-3 on PATs for a total of six kicking points.

Went 1-for-1 on field goal tries in Week 7 at Detroit, converting from 53 yards out.

In the Week 8 win at New Orleans, was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after going 3-for-3 on field goal tries, converting all three from 50+ yards out (52, 54, 55). Also added two extra points for a total of 11 kicking points.

With his three makes of 50+ yards in Week 8, McLaughlin became the second kicker in the 2025 season to record such a performance in a single game.

Through 8 Weeks, McLaughlin was 8-for-8 on field goal tries of 50+ yards, and his eight such makes were the most in the NFL at the time.

In Week 10 vs. New England, converted on his lone field goal try of the day, connecting successfully from 36 yards out. Also added two extra points for a total of five kicking points on the day.

Went 2-of-2 on field goal attempts in Week 11 at Buffalo, converting from 23 and 24 yards out.

Through 11 Weeks, was tied for fourth in the NFL with 80 kicking points and with 20 made field goals.

In Week 12 at the Los Angeles Rams, went 1-for-1 on his lone point after attempt. Did not attempt any field goals.

Went 2-for-2 on field goal tries in the Week 13 win over Arizona, connecting successfully from 25 yards and 57 yards out. He added two extra points for a total of eight kicking points.

Through Week 13, McLaughlin was a perfect 9-for-9 on field goal tries from 50+ yards away, and his nine such makes are the most in the NFL. As of Week 13, McLaughlin was the fourth kicker since 2000 – and the first since Dallas' Brandon Aubrey in 2023 – to have at least nine attempts of 50+ yards in a season and record a 100% success rate.

Went 2-for-2 on field goal tries in Week 14, converting successfully from 37 and 41 yards out. Through 14 Weeks, McLaughlin was 24-of-28 (85.7%) on field goal attempts, with his 24 makes ranking sixth in the league.

In Week 15 vs. Atlanta, went 2-for-2 on field goal attempts, successfully converting from 49 and 52 yards out. His 52-yard make was his 10th made field goal from 50+ yards in 2025, most in the NFL at the time.

With his performance in Week 15, McLaughlin joined Brandon Aubrey (2023) as the only kickers in the last nine seasons to attempt 10-or-more field goals from 50+ yards and not record a miss.

In Week 16 at Carolina, went 2-for-2 on field goal tries on the day, connecting from 23 and 50 yards out. With his 50-yard field goal, he established an NFL record for the most consecutive made field goals from 50+ yards out without a miss in a single season, converting his 11th straight such kick.

Went 1-for-2 on field goal tries in Week 17 at Miami, converting from 33 yards out. Also added two PAT's on the day for a total of five kicking points.

In the Week 18 win over the Carolina Panthers, went 3-for-4 on field goal tries on the day, converting from 29, 36 and 48 yards out. It marked McLaughlin's fifth game this season with three-or-more made field goal attempts.

With his 10 total kicking points in Week 18, McLaughlin surpassed Ryan Succop (384) for the eighth-most points scored in franchise history.

COLLEGE:

Appeared in 33 games across three seasons at the University of Illinois (2016-18), converting 44-of-59 (74.6%) field goal tries and 79-of-79 (100%) extra point attempts after walking onto the team as a freshman in 2014.

As a senior, he led the Big Ten in field goals per game.

In 2018, won the Bakken-Andersen Big Ten Kicker of the Year award and was voted first-team All-Big Ten.

Attended Cypress Woods High School (Cypress, Texas) where he lettered in football and soccer.

Majored in mechanical engineering at Illinois.
