Appeared in 47 career games with 13 starts across seven seasons (2019-25) at the University of Nebraska, totaling 180 tackles (12.0 for loss), 10 passes defensed, 3.5 sacks, three interceptions and one forced fumble.

Started 10-of-12 games in his final season in 2025, recording career highs with 86 tackles (9.0 for loss), 3.0 sacks, five passes defensed and one interception. Led Nebraska in tackles, tackles for loss and sacks while earning honorable mention All-Big Ten recognition.

Won Nebraska's Tom Novak Award in 2025, presented to the senior who "best exemplifies courage and determination despite all odds."

Appeared in nine games with one start during the 2024 season, totaling 34 tackles (1.5 for loss) and one pass defensed.

Appeared in all 12 games with one start in 2023, logging 51 tackles (1.5 for loss), four passes defensed, two interceptions, one forced fumble and a half-sack.

Appeared in 11 games with his first career start in 2022, totaling eight tackles while returning to full-time action after missing nearly two full seasons.

Appeared in two games during the 2021 season before missing the remainder of the season because of health issues. Missed the entire 2020 campaign due to injury after appearing in one game as a true freshman in 2019.

Attended Hamilton High School (Chandler, Ariz.).

Was a consensus four-star recruit and one of Arizona's top defensive back prospects before transitioning to linebacker at Nebraska.

Majored in sports media and communication.

Is the son of Toby Wright and Jandi Spann-Wright.

His father, Toby Wright, was a former NFL safety who played six seasons in the NFL for the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams and Washington Redskins.

His uncle, Terry Wright, also played in the NFL, spending two seasons as a defensive back for the Indianapolis Colts.
