Buccaneers High School Coach of the Week
It is up to you to vote for the Buccaneers High School Coach of the Week. Voting will start on Tuesdays of each week starting on at 9:00 a.m. and end on the Thursdays of that week at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced on Fridays and posted on buccaneers.com/coachoftheweek shortly after.
Please consider the following criteria when voting for the 2025 Buccaneers Coach of the Week:
- Have winning record, beat a longtime rival, snap a losing streak, defeat a defending champion, and/or record an amazing comeback victory.
- Show commitment to his player's safety by teaching the fundamentals of the game, proper tackling techniques, concussion management practices and adherence to heat and hydration techniques.
- Display a strong rapport and have earned respect from his players.
- Have developed a mutually respectful relationship with game officials by using acceptable methods for questioning and avoiding disruptive behavior.
- Be a leader in the game field by always exhibiting positive behavior.
- Be involved with outside organizations such as camps, clinics, and coaching conventions.
- Be involved with community programs.
- Developed excellent relationships with other coaches by being cooperative, considerate and being positive with game related media statements.
The winner will receive an additional grant for $2,000 from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation to help maintain and upgrade their football program and receive (4) tickets to an upcoming Buccaneers game courtesy of Ticketmaster.
WEEK 3 NOMINEES:
David Dare - Keswick Christian - The Crusaders are off to an impressive 3–0 start this season under Head Coach David Dare. Coach Dare is once again joined by his father, Bob Dare, who came on board as Defensive Coordinator last season. Together, they've cultivated a strong, family-oriented team culture rooted in mentorship and unity. With back-to-back strong starts and a close-knit coaching staff, Keswick Christian is poised for another impactful season.
Andy Schmitz - Mitchell High School - Coach Andy Schmitz is off to a fantastic start this season, leading the Mustangs to a strong 3–0 record so far. This early success is made even more special as Coach Schmitz recently celebrated a major career milestone, his 100th win as Head Coach of the Mitchell football program. His leadership and commitment continue to set the standard for excellence both on and off the field, inspiring the team and community alike as they push forward through the season.
Marvin Frazier Jr - Lakeland High School - The Dreadnaughts beat 8th ranked Lake Mary High School Friday night by a score of 32-13. Coach Frazier, a former assistant and wide receivers coach, led the team to a state championship in his first season as head coach!
Evan Davis - Armwood High School - Coach Davis led the Armwood Hawks to a huge 28-7 win over #21 Tampa Bay Tech on Friday night. The Hawks led from wire to wire and are now 3-0 on the season!
