WEEK 1 NOMINEES:

Jeremy Frioud, Tarpon Springs High School – Coach Frioud is a resilient leader for his high school football team. After the passing of team captain Jacquez Welch in 2019, he created a supportive and unified atmosphere for his players, showing that strength and vulnerability can coexist. He came to realize that coaching football carries a deeper meaning, that he is not just developing athletes, but preparing young men for life and helping them become who they are meant to be. This tragedy gave Coach Frioud a renewed sense of purpose in his role as a mentor and leader.

Jayson Roberts, Tampa Bay Tech High School – Since taking over in 2011, Coach Roberts has become the winningest coach in school history, leading the Titans to consistent playoff runs and their first-ever state championship appearance in 2021. His leadership has transformed the program into a respected powerhouse, built on discipline, character, and a commitment to excellence both on and off the field.

David Raley, Hernando Christian Academy - Coach Raley led the Hernando Christian Lions to a huge 70 - 6 win Friday night over St. John Lutheran. The Lions will look to improve on a strong 2024 season, where they finished 3rd in the district.

Scott Perry, Lake Mary High School - Coach Perry led the Rams to a big statement victory over #16 Norland High school to start the season on Friday Night. Coach Perry has led the team for multiple seasons, including making it to the Class 7A state championship game in 2024.
