Buccaneers High School Coach of the Week

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers in collaboration with Andy Villamarzo, National High School Sports Reporter for Rivals & On3 sports, have made the below nominations for Coach of the Week. It is up to you to vote for the Buccaneers High School Coach of the Week. Voting will start on Tuesdays of each week starting on at 9:00 a.m. and end on the Thursdays of that week at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced on Fridays and posted on buccaneers.com/coachoftheweek shortly after.

Please consider the following criteria when voting for the 2026 Buccaneers Coach of the Week:

  1. Have winning record, beat a longtime rival, snap a losing streak, defeat a defending champion, and/or record an amazing comeback victory.
  2. Show commitment to his player's safety by teaching the fundamentals of the game, proper tackling techniques, concussion management practices, and adherence to heat and hydration techniques.
  3. Display a strong rapport and have earned respect from his players.
  4. Have developed a mutually respectful relationship with game officials by using acceptable methods for questioning and avoiding disruptive behavior.
  5. Be a leader in the game field by always exhibiting positive behavior.
  6. Be involved with outside organizations such as camps, clinics, and coaching conventions.
  7. Be involved with community programs.
  8. Developed excellent relationships with other coaches by being cooperative, considerate and being positive with game related media statements.

The winner will receive an additional grant for $2,000 to help maintain and upgrade their football program and receive (4) tickets to an upcoming Buccaneers game courtesy of Ticketmaster.

Week 9 Nominees:

Greg Studrawa, IMG Academy – Coach Studrawa and the Ascenders stayed undefeated with a thrilling 42–40 win over NFL Academy on Friday, October 16. After building a 28–0 lead and battling back from a fourth-quarter deficit, IMG secured the win on a 28-yard field goal with just four seconds remaining. The victory moves IMG to 8–0 and highlights the team's resilience in a pressure-filled finish.

Augustin Sanchez, Northeast – Coach Sanchez and the Vikings picked up an important 34–26 road win over Pinellas Park on Friday. Northeast earned its second straight victory and improved to 4–4 on the season, showing continued growth and the ability to finish strong in a key district matchup.

Brice Spaulding, Crystal River – Coach Spaulding and the Pirates delivered a dominant 40–0 shutout over Weeki Wachee on Friday. Crystal River earned its first win of the season with a strong defensive performance, giving the team a much-needed boost as it heads into the final stretch of the year.

Jared Clark, Cardinal Mooney – Coach Clark and the Cougars continued their hot streak with a convincing 48–12 win over Southeast. The victory extended Cardinal Mooney's winning streak to six games and improved its record to 7–1, keeping the Cougars rolling as they look toward the postseason.

Week 6 Winner: Robert Hollway, Out-of-Door Academy

Week 7 Winner: Gregg Puskas, Steinbrenner High School

Week 8 Winner: Dom Ciao, Berkeley Preparatory School
