BUCCANEERS SIGN CADEN FORDHAM AND JAVIN WRIGHT

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today announced that the team has signed college free agent linebackers Caden Fordham and Javin Wright. Additionally, the club has waived running back Michael Wiley.

Fordham (6-1, 232) played collegiately at North Carolina State University (2021-25), appearing in 48 career games and totaling 253 tackles (18.0 for loss), eight passes defensed, 4.5 sacks, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. Fordham earned first-team All-ACC honors in 2025 after leading the conference and ranking among the national leaders with 143 total tackles, while adding 10.0 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and two interceptions. A team captain for the Wolfpack, he recorded five games with double-digit tackles during his senior season, and earned MVP honors in the Gasparilla Bowl after posting 13 tackles and an interception against Memphis. The Ponte Vedra, Florida, will wear No. 46 for Tampa Bay.

Wright (6-5, 230) played collegiately at the University of Nebraska (2021-25), playing in 47 career games and recording 180 tackles (12.0 for loss), 10 passes defensed, 3.5 sacks, three interceptions, and one forced fumble. Wright earned honorable mention All-Big Ten recognition in 2025 after leading Nebraska in tackles (86), tackles for loss (9.0) and sacks (3.0). He posted seven games with at least nine tackles as a senior, including a career-high 12 tackles against Maryland and Minnesota, to go with double-digit tackle performances versus Michigan, Michigan State and USC. The Chandler, Arizona, native will wear No. 48 for Tampa Bay.
