Mayfield's 146.4 passer rating was the highest in the NFL in Week 1, and it marked his fourth-highest passer rating in a game in his career. It also represented Tampa Bay's second-highest Week 1 passer rating in franchise history, trailing only Ryan Fitzpatrick's 156.2 in Week 1 of the 2018 season at New Orleans.

Mayfield's performance in Week 1 marked his fourth career game with four-or-more touchdown passes and a passer rating of 140.0-or-higher, tied with Aaron Rodgers for the third-most such games by a player in his first seven seasons in NFL history. Only Pro Football Hall of Famers Peyton Manning (six) and Kurt Warner (five) had more.

Mayfield's 146.4 passer rating against the Commanders in Week 1 denoted the highest single-game mark by an opposing passer with 30-or-more pass attempts in Washington's history. Only Y.A. Tittle's mark of 151.4 on Oct. 28, 1962, was higher.

In the Week 2 victory at Detroit, Mayfield completed 12-of-19 passes for 185 yards and one passing touchdown, earning a 90.9 passer rating. He also added five carries for 34 yards (6.8 avg.) and one rushing touchdown.

Mayfield's 34 rushing yards in Week 2 marked the fifth-most in any game of his career. He scored the decisive touchdown on an 11-yard keeper, which marked the then-longest touchdown run of his career.

In Week 3 vs. Denver, completed 25- of-33 passes (75.8%) for 163 yards and one touchdown to earn a passer rating of 83.3. Mayfield's 75.8% completion rate was tied for his fifth-highest mark in a game in which he had recorded 30+ pass attempts.

Through three games, Mayfield had completed 61-of-82 passes (74.4%) with six touchdowns, compared to two interceptions, for a passer rating of 110.7.

After three weeks, Mayfield's six passing touchdowns were tied for second-most in the NFL, while his 74.4% completion rate ranked third and his 110.7 passer rating ranked fourth.

In the Week 4 victory over Philadelphia, completed 30-of-47 passes (63.8%) for 347 yards and two passing touchdowns with zero interceptions to earn a passer rating of 100.2. He also added four carries for 10 yards and one rushing touchdown.

Mayfield was Tampa Bay's highest-graded offensive player in the Week 4 win — and the highest graded quarterback in the NFL that week — according to Pro Football Focus, earning an 86.9 overall grade.

Per Next Gen Stats, Mayfield delivered the ball in an average of 2.22 seconds in the Week 4 win, marking the second-quickest time to throw in a game in his career at that point.

Through 4 Weeks, Mayfield ranked second in passing touchdowns (8), fourth in passer rating (106.9) and fourth in passing yards (984).

In Week 5 at Atlanta, Mayfield completed 19-of-24 passes (79.2%) for 180 yards and three touchdowns compared to zero interceptions to earn a 137.5 passer rating.

According to Pro Football Focus, Mayfield was Tampa Bay's highest-graded player in Week 5, earning a 90.7 offensive grade. His 90.7 offensive grade was also the highest mark among all quarterbacks in Week 5.

Per Pro Football Focus, Mayfield had earned an 84.9 offensive grade through the first five weeks of the season — the third-highest mark among all quarterbacks over that span.

Through 5 Weeks, Mayfield ranked among NFL leaders in total touchdowns (13 - 1st), passing touchdowns (11 - T-2nd), passer rating (112.2 - 3rd) and completion percentage (71.9 - 4th).

Completed 24-of-36 passes (66.7%) for 325 yards and four touchdowns compared to three interceptions to earn a passer rating of 97.6 in the Week 6 victory at New Orleans.

Mayfield's four touchdown passes in Week 6 were tied for his second-most in a single game in his career and tied for his most in a single game as a member of the Buccaneers.

Mayfield's Week 6 performance marked his third four-touchdown game since joining Tampa Bay, and his second of the 2024 season. Mayfield's 31 completions in Week 7 marked a then-career-high.

In Week 8 vs. Atlanta, completed a then-career-high 37-of-50 passes (74.0%) for 330 passing yards and three touchdowns compared to two interceptions to earn a 94.6 passer rating. It marked the second week in a row that Mayfield established new career highs in completions.

Week 8 also marked Mayfield's league-leading sixth game with multiple passing touchdowns during the 2024 season, and his league-leading fifth game (incl. fourth straight) with at least three passing touchdowns.

Mayfield's Week 8 performance was his seventh of the season in which he recorded a passer rating of 90.0 or higher. His seven such performances were tied for the most in the NFL through 8 weeks.

Through 8 weeks, Mayfield ranked among league leaders in: total touchdowns (23 - 1st), passing touchdowns (21 - 1st), pass completions (202 - 2nd), passing yards (2,189 - 2nd), completion percentage (71.1% - 3rd) and passer rating (104.9 - 6th).

In Week 9 at Kansas City, completed 23-of-31 passes (74.2%) for 200 yards and two touchdowns compared to zero interceptions to earn a passer rating of 112.3.

Was Tampa Bay's highest-graded offensive player in Week 9, according to Pro Football Focus, earning a 71.9 overall offensive grade.

Mayfield's 71.4% completion rate from Weeks 1-9 marked the highest completion percentage by a Buccaneers quarterback over any nine-game span in team history.

Through 9 Weeks, Mayfield led the NFL in passing touchdowns (23) and total touchdowns (25), while ranking second in passing yards (2,560) and completions (225), fourth in completion percentage (71.4%) and seventh in passer rating (105.6).

In Week 10 vs. San Francisco, Mayfield completed 18-of-29 passes (62.1%) for 116 yards and one touchdown compared to zero interceptions to earn a passer rating of 82.0. Mayfield's touchdown pass marked his 24th of the season — tied for most in the NFL at the time.

Through 10 Weeks, Mayfield ranked among league leaders in total touchdowns – T-1st (26), passing touchdowns – T-1st (24), completions – 2nd (243), completion percentage – 3rd (70.6%), passer rating – 4th (103.6), and passing yards – 5th (2,505).

In the Week 12 win over the New York Giants, Mayfield completed 24-of30 passes for 294 yards, with no interceptions, earning a 107.5 passer rating. Mayfield added a rushing touchdown on the day — his third of the season and the 10th of his NFL career.

Mayfield's performance in Week 12 was his sixth game of the season in which he completed at least 74.0% of his passes — tied with Detroit's Jared Goff for the most in the NFL at the time.

According to Pro Football Focus, Mayfield was Tampa Bay's highest-graded player in the Week 12 win, earning a 92.5 overall offensive grade. His 92.5 mark represented the highest grade by any quarterback in the NFL in Week 12.

Through 12 weeks, Mayfield was the only player in the NFL with 20-or-more passing touchdowns and three-or-more rushing touchdowns.

After 12 weeks, Mayfield ranked second in the NFL with 27 total offensive touchdowns, third in completion percentage (71.4%), third in passing touchdowns (24), sixth in passer rating (104.1) and seventh in passing yards (2,799).

In the Week 13 win at Carolina, completed 21-of-33 passes for 235 yards and one touchdown. He joined Tom Brady (2020-22) as the only quarterbacks in franchise history to record 25-or-more touchdown passes in consecutive seasons.

In Tampa Bay's come-from-behind win in Week 13, Mayfield finished 11-of-12 for 114 yards in the fourth quarter and overtime.

Through 13 weeks, Mayfield ranked third in the NFL in touchdown passes with 25.

In the Week 14 win over Las Vegas, completed 18-of-29 passes (62.1%) for 295 yards and three touchdowns compared to two interceptions to earn a passer rating of 101.9. With his performance in Week 14, Mayfield tied his career high (28 in 2023) for passing touchdowns in a single season.

Week 14 marked Mayfield's sixth game in 2024 with three-or-more passing touchdowns, tied for most in the NFL at the time.

In Week 14, Mayfield tied himself (in 2023) and Jameis Winston (28 in 2016) for the fourth-most single season passing touchdowns in franchise history.

Made his 100th career start in the Week 15 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, completing 22-of-27 passes for 288 yards and four touchdowns, with one interception, to earn a 135.3 passer rating. It marked Mayfield's seventh career regular season game with four-or-more touchdown passes, including four-such performances for Tampa Bay.

In Week 15, Mayfield and his 162 career passing touchdowns at the time became 1-of-6 QBs selected No. 1 overall to record 150+ touchdown passes through their first 100 starts, joining Peyton Manning (178), Matthew Stafford (178), Andrew Luck (171), Carson Palmer (160) and Jared Goff (155).

With his four touchdown passes in Week 15, Mayfield established a new single-season career-high with 32 passing touchdowns on the season. His 32 touchdown passes marked the fourth-highest single-season total in franchise history at the time.

Through 15 weeks, Mayfield's 32 passing touchdowns ranked third in the NFL.

In Week 16 at Dallas, Mayfield completed 31-of-43 passes (72.1%) for 303 yards and two touchdowns, with one interception, earning a 97.3 passer rating. It marked his fifth 300-yard passing game in 2024, tied for second in the NFL and trailing only Joe Burrow (six) at the time.

Through 16 weeks, Mayfield had 34 passing touchdowns, extending his career high and ranking third in the NFL. His 34 passing touchdowns marked the third-highest single-season total in franchise history.

In the Week 17 win over Carolina, Mayfield completed 27-of-32 passes (84.4%) for 359 passing yards and a career-high-tying five touchdowns compared to zero interceptions to earn a passer rating of 153.0 – his highest-mark of the 2024 season and the second-highest figure of his career. Mayfield's 84.4 completion percentage is tied for his fourth-highest mark in a game in his career.

In Week 17, Mayfield became the first quarterback to have the same number of incompletions as passing touchdowns since Josh Allen did so (four of each) in Week 4 of the 2023 season against the Miami Dolphins (min. 25 attempts). Overall, Mayfield became the fourth player to accomplish the feat since the start of the 2020 season, joining Allen, Aaron Rodgers, and Russell Wilson.

According to Elias Sports, Mayfield became the fifth player ever with 350+ passing yards, five-or-more touchdown passes, a passer rating of 150.0+ and completion percentage of 80.0+ in a game, joining Tom Brady (twice), Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger and Deshaun Watson.

Per Next Gen Stats, Mayfield completed all 12 of his pass attempts against the blitz for 90 yards and five touchdowns. Mayfield's five touchdowns against the blitz were the most in a game since Patrick Mahomes in Week 1, 2022. Across all dropbacks, Mayfield generated +23.4 EPA, his most in a single game in his career.

In Week 17, Mayfield established new career highs in single-season pass completions (386) and passing yards (4,279), while extending his career high for passing touchdowns (39) in a single season.

In the Week 18 victory over New Orleans, completed 21-of-32 passes (65.6%) for 221 yards and two passing touchdowns to earn a passer rating of 93.4. His two passing touchdowns gave him 41 on the season, surpassing Tom Brady (40 in 2020) for the second-most in a single season in franchise history, trailing only Tom Brady (43 in 2021).

According to Pro Football Focus, Mayfield was Tampa Bay's highest-graded player in the playoffs-clinching win over New Orleans in Week 18, earning a 94.8 overall offensive grade. Mayfield finished the season with an 86.0 overall offensive grade — sixth-highest among all quarterbacks.

Mayfield finished the season establishing new career highs in completions (407), completion percentage (71.4%), passing yards (4,500), net yards per pass attempt (7.9), passing touchdowns (41) and passer rating (106.8). He also established new Buccaneers single-season franchise records in completion percentage and passer rating.

He finished the 2024 campaign ranking among league leaders in: passing touchdowns (41 – T-2nd), completions (407 – T-2nd), completion percentage (71.4% - 3rd), passing yards (4,500 - 3rd), total touchdowns (44 – 3rd), passer rating (106.8 – 4th).

In the Wild Card round against Washington, Mayfield completed 15-of-18 passes (83.3%) for 185 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions to earn a 146.5 passer rating. The 146.5 passer rating is the highest in a postseason contest in franchise history, and the ninth-highest mark by any quarterback in a postseason contest dating back to 2000.

Mayfield's 83.3% completion rate in the Wild Card game marked the highest by a Buccaneers quarterback in postseason history, and is the second-highest figure in a postseason contest (min. 15 attempts) dating back to 2012.

COLLEGE:

Appeared in 48 career games between Texas Tech (2013) and the University of Oklahoma (2015-17), completing 1,026- of-1,497 passes (68.5%) for 14,607 yards and 131 touchdowns. Also added 404 carries for 1,083 yards and 21 rushing touchdowns.

Walked on at Texas Tech in 2013 as a true freshman and was named Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year.

Won the 2017 Heisman Trophy Award after completing 285-of-404 (70.5%) passes for 4,627 yards and 43 touchdowns for Oklahoma. Also contributed 97 rushing attempts for 311 yards and five rushing touchdowns.
