Head Coach Dirk Koetter

(On if the routine is different for Monday Night Football)

"First off the one thing that preseason, [Monday Night] is like your preseason schedule. From a schedule standpoint, how we meet with them, how we make sure they're at the meals and all that, how we kind of use up some of the time. You do have more time. You're waiting around a long time. We have a plan for it and we talk to the guys, but at some point, they've just got to gut it out and wait like everybody."

(On if there is an advantage in having played in more Monday Night Football games)

"I'm not sure. It just kind of is what it is. I think the advantage come because you get an extra day in the lead up and then the disadvantage is you're short right off the bat. Especially – it's one thing to be the home team, but then the road team you've got to fly back. We're all creatures of habit. It just puts you down a day going into the next week."

(On if players play better when there's more of a spotlight)

"Maybe. I don't know. I think you can just say in DeSean [Jackson's] case he's just a good player all the time. There's probably something to that. I'm not enough of an expert on Monday Night Football to know. I'm not an expert at all on Monday Night Football."

(On the preparation for Monday Night Football)

"Yeah good. It should be one of your best weeks because we give them two days off. Instead of having just your regular Tuesday off you have Tuesday [and], Wednesday and we're only two games into the season. Once the season starts everybody's dealing with stuff pretty much the rest of the year. This is about as good as it's going to get other than coming off a bye-week."

(On what he's seen from Pittsburgh running back James Conner as a runner)

"When I looked at the tape, it looked to me like he ran with power. He made yards after contact. I was more impressed with him than I thought as a receiver. He didn't get a lot of chances, but he had natural hands, he's a good route runner, good in the protection. I was impressed with him. I'd never really seen him since college. I didn't know what to expect and I thought he did a really good job."

(On what running back Shaun Wilson adds to the running game)

"Quickness more than anything else. Where Peyton [Barber's] got more of a power style low to the ground, Shaun's a little bit more jitter-buggy type runner and can go from zero to 50 quickly. That's what makes him a good kickoff return man as well. Also got excellent hands. Understands everything we're trying to do and we've been pleased with him. That was just luck of the call how that was. He was in on certain packages that package got called and it got called early and that just happened to be that early in the game."

(On if he has made the decision about which quarterback will start in Week 4)

"You can't make a decision before it happens because you don't know all the variable yet. Right? Things could change on Monday, they can change tomorrow. There's no use – I told you before, there's no use worrying about decisions when you don't have all the information yet."

(On if he's played out potential scenarios)

"Sure, of course."

(On when he will make the decision on which quarterback will start in Week 4)

"At the proper time. It really doesn't make any difference when it happens. Think about it – why would we tell Chicago what we're doing? When we need to know we'll know. It's not going to be that big of a deal. You guys are making it much bigger than it is."

Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken

(On why quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has had so much success)

"Outstanding preparation. I think he's a consummate pro – it starts with him. His capacity to get us in the right things and yet take it to another level. I think our players in general – I think our skill guys have done a great job when we've had one-on-one match-ups they've won. We've had excellent protection. He's been really, really accurate. I can't speak to other quarterbacks as to what routes they're throwing, but you talk about a guy's accuracy with the throws we've asked him to make. Sure, there's been some screens in there, but there's been a lot of down the field throws. Guys doing a great job of winning and he's done a great job of executing."

(On how much improvement needs to happen from the offense to get the running game where they want it to be)

"Frist of all, I need to call it better. That's starts with us coaching-wise – I have to call it better and stick with our plan. We have to be able to run the football when we want to run the football. That's the biggest part of it. It's still about yards and scoring points – not turning it over and being explosive, which we have been. That was probably one of the most frustrating thigs from the game the other day. You're not going to count on two 75-yard touchdown plays. What we do want to be able to count on is not dropping the football and not fumbling it. Those are things that we need to count on moving forward – not anticipate having two 75-yard plays because really we left some things out there with drops – or mishandling the football is the best way to put it."

(On what he's seen from running back Ronald Jones)

"He's an improving player. He's got a world of talent and he continues to work at it and have a great attitude. Right now, there's just a few things that we feel like from a game plan standpoint and from special teams that Shaun [Wilson] gives us. That's really what it comes down to."

(On how impressive the offensive line has been)

"It's been nice. We've been healthy and on offense we've been healthy. Our starters – when you have all 11 and you think you've got really good players at all your positions you have a chance to be successful. If they'll take what you're doing every day and take it Sunday, then you give yourself a real chance to be explosive."

(On how difficult it is to go against a 3-4 defense)

"Definitely adds a challenge because it's not something that we see from our defense and it's not something that you see every week. These guys have played a lot of football in the NFL and coaches the same way. Sure, you've got to do things a bit differently, but it's still, 'How do we do it? How do we execute? How do we win our matchups up front? How do we win on the perimeter when they give us those chances?'"

Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick

(On being accurate on downfield throws)

"There's a lot of different things that go into it when you're throwing the ball down the field. Clean pocket help, and we've had clean pockets. Receivers and quarterbacks being on the same page helps. For me, I think it's just something that we put an emphasis on in the offseason and throughout training camp. I had mentioned before, Todd Monken with the way that he's coaching and getting everybody right and on the same page, I think that's been extremely helpful. I think I've also just improved over the years and it doesn't hurt when your deep targets are the guys that I'm throwing to. They do a great job of getting behind the defense and making plays."

(On message to his teammates for the Monday Night Football game)

"I just think we have to keep our eye on what the goal is. The goal is now to go 3-0. Like I said, nobody is going to take these guys lightly. This is a team that every single year, they're in that Super Bowl hunt and in the playoffs. Obviously, they're 0-1-1, but they've played well this year. It's not like they were getting blown out in the games. They've got probably a Hall of Fame quarterback and a defense that like to get after the quarterback in terms of sacking the quarterback, last year and even this year. They've done a great job, so it's going to be a huge challenge. I don't think it will be an issue for us to focus on this game and trying to figure out what we can do to pull out a win. It's going to be a tough game."

(On if he has to do more at the line of scrimmage playing against a 3-4 defense)

"No, that's all stuff that gets ironed out throughout the week. Everybody's got their own little wrinkle going into each week and we've got our little wrinkles. It's just part of game-planning. There's some stuff you do versus a 3-4 and don't do versus a 3-4 and vice versa with a 4-3 [defense]. A lot of it is just communication that we iron out throughout the week. We do see more of the four-down teams than the 3-4 teams,

(On how much tight end O.J. Howard and wide receiver Chris Godwin have improved since their rookie year)

"I think that both O.J. and Chris made a big jump from last year to this year and they were impressive rookies with what they did. To be able to have a bunch of different option of guys that can win one-on-one match-ups, I think that's really important. We look at all those guys – even some others as well. We've got four or five, six guys that we're really confident when it's one-on-one no matter who it is that they're going to win their match-up."

Wide Receiver DeSean Jackson

(On having a successful start to the season)

"It's been a dope ride so far. I want to kind of continue to keep it going. I feel like the odds [have] been against us. No one's really counted on us or picked us to win in the first [two] games, so just knowing that back against the wall mentality. Just trying to keep that mentality throughout the whole season and keep this up."

(On how much the team is looking forward to showing the national audience what they can do)

"I think – once again – as professional athletes we get paid to do our job and play at a high level, so first of all you have to take that into consideration. That's coming to work and putting it on film, the studying in the classroom, just repeatedly doing it over and over and over. As long as you're able to do that, you'll get you results on Sunday or Monday or Thursday or whenever you're able to play. I think that's what guys are doing – taking advantage of their opportunities and just putting their best foot forward."

(On quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick's ball placement on his deep ball throws)

"One thing that's good about him is he has good a good feel for it, dropping back and reading defenses, putting the ball where the defenders are not. It doesn't necessarily mean you've got to throw the ball 60 yards down the field. He drops back and gets it out [of] his hand. A lot it's like 30, 40 yards down the field. It really gives you an opportunity right when you're coming out your break to catch the ball. If you throw it early that's when [defenders] aren't really ready. If you throw it later, [defenders] have time to adjust and react to the ball. So, that's what he does [well]."

Defensive Tackle Gerald McCoy

(On if it's hard to get a sack on Ben Roethlisberger)

"Absolutely. You just called him Big Ben and then followed by saying is it hard to get him on the ground – it's Big Ben. He's elusive actually and just a strong guy. One of the best we've ever seen in extended plays. He believes he can make any throw. He's a future Hall of Famer and all respect goes to him. With Pittsburgh, we have to make sure we finish our rushing. [We] can't just stop on the rush and think we can get our hands up. He's not that guy – he's going to extend the play. We've got to get to him."

(On if the defense made improvements from Week 1 to Week 2)

"It was better. We haven't played a complete game yet in all phases – front end all the way to the back end. We've got a lot of improving – me personally. We'll be better though. Two weeks in – a lot of football to play."

(On defensive tackle Vita Vea's progression)

"'V'…he hates not being out there. He's not trying to make this thing stretch out. He's been going overtime trying to get back and it was good seeing him out there yesterday. He's just going to continue to push until he's back."
