BUCCANEERS SIGN AL-QUADIN MUHAMMAD

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today announced that the club has signed outside linebacker Al-Quadin Muhammad.

Muhammad (6-3, 250) has appeared in 110 career games between the New Orleans Saints, Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions, making 35 starts, and totaling 190 total tackles (36 for loss), 58 quarterback hits, 26.0 sacks, four forced fumbles, two passes defensed and one fumble recovered. He has also made four postseason appearances with two starts, accruing six tackles (three for loss), two quarterback hits and 1.0 sack.

As a member of the Lions in 2025, Muhammad set career highs in quarterback hits (20), sacks (11.0) and tackles for loss (nine). He was the only player in the NFL to record double digit sacks without a start on the season.

He originally entered the league as a sixth-round pick (No. 196 overall) by the New Orleans Saints in the 2017 NFL Draft. The Irvington, New Jersey, native played two collegiate seasons at the University of Miami (2013-15), where he appeared in 17 games, logging 60 total tackles (11 for loss), 7.0 sacks, one forced fumble and one pass defensed.
