The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today signed cornerback JayVian Farr and running back Jase McClellan. Additionally, the Buccaneers have waived kicker Ryan Coe and waived/injured quarterback Michael Pratt.
Farr (5-9, 192) played collegiately at Augustana University (2021–24), appearing in 46 career games and recording 99 tackles (5.0 for loss), 21 passes defensed, three interceptions, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and 1.0 sack. He earned Second-Team All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference recognition following his junior season in 2023, and was named First-Team after his senior campaign in 2024. Farr led Augustana to an NSIC title three times during his collegiate career (2021, 2023-24).
McClellan (5-11, 212) originally entered the league as a sixth-round selection (No. 186 overall) by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2024 NFL Draft. He appeared in two games for the Falcons in 2024, carrying the ball 13 times for 32 yards. McClellan played collegiately at the University of Alabama (2020–23), where he appeared in 44 career games and recorded 355 carries for 1,981 yards and 18 rushing touchdowns, along with 40 receptions for 409 yards and four receiving touchdowns. He was part of Alabama's 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship team and was a two-time SEC champion (2020, 2021). McClellan enjoyed his most productive season as a senior in 2024, appearing in 14 games and logging 180 carries for 890 yards (4.9 avg.) and eight rushing touchdowns.
