The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today the team has signed running back Kerwynn Williams and waived wide receiver Sergio Bailey II.
Williams (5-8, 198) originally entered the league as a seventh-round pick (230th overall) of the Indianapolis Colts in 2013. Williams spent time with Indianapolis and the San Diego Chargers before joining the Arizona Cardinals in 2014, where he played under current Buccaneers Head Coach Bruce Arians. While with Arizona (2014-17), Williams played in 37 games, with six starts, rushing 218 times for 971 yards (4.5 avg.) and four touchdowns, while catching 15 passes for 126 yards. Williams also saw time as a returner for the Cardinals, with 21 punts returned for 137 yards and 24 kickoffs returned for 452 yards.
Williams was with the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2018 offseason and preseason and spent time with the Detroit Lions during the current offseason. A Las Vegas native, Williams played collegiately at Utah State.
Bailey spent the 2018 offseason with Tampa Bay, before being injured in the preseason and spending the 2018 regular season on Injured Reserve.
