BUCCANEERS SIGN S ANDREW ADAMS AND T JOSH WELLS, PLACE S JUSTIN EVANS ON INJURED RESERVE

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today the team has signed safety Andrew Adams and tackle Josh Wells. In addition, the team has waived offensive lineman Caleb Benenoch and placed safety Justin Evans on Injured Reserve.

Adams (5-11, 202) made 13 appearances for the Buccaneers in 2018, recording 36 tackles, nine passes defensed and a team-high four interceptions. Following his collegiate career at Connecticut, Adams has totaled 109 tackles, 16 passes defensed, five interceptions and one forced fumble in 43 career NFL games. He spent the 2019 preseason with the Detroit Lions. The College Park, Georgia native will wear No. 39 for Tampa Bay.

Wells (6-6, 306) played in 39 career games for the Jacksonville Jaguars after entering the league as a college free agent in 2014. The Mechanicsville, Virginia, native and James Madison product spent the 2019 preseason with the Jaguars. He will wear No. 72 for Tampa Bay.

Tampa Bay's roster stands at 53.
