On Sunday, September 21, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will kick off the home slate of their historic 50th season with a 1 p.m. ET matchup against the New York Jets at Raymond James Stadium. Presented by Raymond James, the afternoon will celebrate five decades of Buccaneers football, honoring the franchise's past, present, and future. The first 25,000 in attendance will receive a John McKay bucket hat, courtesy of Raymond James.
The Buccaneers will take the field in the reimagined version of the original 1976 uniform for the first time, featuring the iconic orange numbers with red outlines, a special Creamsicle 50th season patch, and the three‑stripe sleeve pattern to go alongside Creamsicle-era helmets, white pants, and striped socks.
Steve Spurrier, the franchise's first starting quarterback in 1976, will serve as Captain of the Krewe, while Pro Football Hall of Famer and Ring of Honor member Derrick Brooks will lead the team out of the tunnel for the team introductions. The gameday experience will be highlighted by a unique halftime celebration recognizing over 100 former Buccaneers players spanning every era of the team's history. Legends will be introduced live on-field, accompanied by a series of special video features. Throughout the game, additional vignettes will spotlight iconic franchise greats.
Pregame festivities will include the U.S. Special Operations Command Para-Commandos delivering a jump demonstration, followed by a flyover featuring four F-35s from the 33rd Fighter Squadron of Eglin Air Force Base in Valparaiso, Florida. Additionally, Huntley, the Season 24 winner of "The Voice" and lifelong Buccaneers fan, will perform the national anthem. Fans can also visit Bucs Beach pregame for Legends meet-and-greets and additional activations celebrating the milestone season.
As part of the club's expanded gameday offerings, Dunkin' will serve as the presenting sponsor of the Buccaneers' Home Gameday Poster Series, showcasing the work of a graphic artist through a collection of limited-edition designs unique to each game. The inaugural poster for Week 3 will be featured across Buccaneers social channels. It will also be available in limited quantities at select Dunkin' locations throughout the Tampa Bay area on the morning of the game, while supplies last.
Buccaneers German airline partner Discover Airlines, a Lufthansa subsidiary and the team's first-ever German partner, is expanding its partnership into the United States this season. To celebrate the franchise's 50th season, Discover Airlines will give away 50 flights and 50 Buccaneers game tickets throughout the year, beginning with a launch event at Tampa International Airport on Friday, Sept. 19. In addition, the Buccaneers' new High/Low game – launching inside the team's official mobile app on Wednesday, Sept. 17 – will serve as the basis for a live competition presented by Discover Airlines during Sunday's home opener, in which one lucky fan will win a roundtrip flight to Germany. Discover Airlines CEO Bernd Bauer will be on hand to present the prize to the winner on the field.
On Sunday, the Buccaneers will recognize recipients of the Glazer Family Small Business Fund, created as part of a $2 million commitment to local relief efforts following Hurricanes Helene and Milton in 2024. In partnership with eight local chambers, the fund has awarded over $1.2 million in grants to 297 small businesses. Each home game will highlight grant recipients from one chamber, with Sunday featuring members of the Tampa Bay Chamber and spotlighting Renee Edwards, CEO of Everyday Shoppes & Saturday Shoppes, whose work supports nearly 5,000 small businesses annually through retail space, markets, and educational programs.
